Update 0.1.11.27 Feedback

Awesome so far!

  • Remove recoil and health perks.
  • Fix the terrible ladder climbing mechanics.
  • Make it so Elite squads have to be ranked up even after purchase.
  • Increase the FOV slider from being capped at 90°, up to 120° (Enlisted and CRSED).
  • Fix the server region selector so it doesn’t ever put you in matches outside of your selected regions.

Game will be solid if these changes are made.

Its infuriating when teammates run into you and push you when you shoot, or when you’re going down a narrow corridor, and you get shoved around. Also, the premium squads’ issues not having been looked at and changed, is very concerning.

The new map is pretty and I like it. However, it’s so spacious that you don’t have time to look around the map. How about creating a map tour mode?

show “XP” income description every time we destroy a vehicle or kill an enemy

-Fix weapon responsiveness
-Fix a messy ladder mechanism
-Fix messy textures, weapons pass through an objects

-add weapon customization features (iron sight, bullet, grip, etc)
-add K / D features
-Make the lonewolf gameplay longer and more xp

there’s quite a lot to talk. so i’ll go in order, and hope to not miss anything.

new weapons and equipment

i’m very glad about the new models for weapons, aside from the gewehr 30/40. i don’t know, looks like a child weapon of fake wood. maybe it’s just my graphic. i don’t know. because from what i saw in my country, g30/40 were more darker. ( perhaps time? i don’t know)
but still, glad to see different rifles, new materials, and different sights.

the new camos are preatty neet. very needed from a long time. i kinda wished something different for the HS 123. but it’s just a minor thing. also great the camos for the enginner tools.

new belts and magazines mechanics for mgs and autocannons are much better than before. it’s very satisfying.

improved animations for russian weapons are much better than before too.

Missions

the new map and missions on the monastery, are incredible well done. really good in terms of visual, paths, flanks routes and yada yada yada. i’m honestly impressed. but invasion it’s beatifull as unique.

i do not like the new way that now everyone will attack or defend. i prefered like it was before. exept, the monastery make it as a german defence. but on the other hand, i do understand for people that always complained about doing the same thing and not having variety.

the Additional weather options in missions that have been added it’s a great touch.

Gameplay and soldier

The amount of experience in the Lone Fighters game mode has been increased, by doing so, it’s a good way to level up faster and manually some soldiers.

Added resources, spent in construction by engineers. . finally, a good proper " nerf " for enginners. so that if you wanna build everything, you will need several enginners.

Added animation for resupply container, built by an engineer. If there is no ammo left in it - it closes.
a small but good detail :smiley:

You will now get experience for aiding a heavily wounded soldier of another squad.
this one, it’s really cool. and in my opionion, really needed. so now players can co-operate much more.

Players will not be able to occupy a seat in a vehicle if it is already occupied by an AI soldier of another player. With the exception of players playing in one group.
finally, no more vehicle stealers.

AI-soldiers will stop changing posture too often whilst shooting.
i honestly didn’t noticed much different than before.
am i blind? i do aplogize if so.

AI soldiers will now note player enemy marks and attack spotted enemies in that direction.
a good new mechanic. but needs some tweaks. meaning that i would put it as a squad order rather than on the v mark. this will only bother other players. thinking that there are some vehicles.

in the update note, there’s written: " Improved AI soldier navigation. "
i’m afraid that this is not truee. AI behavior haven’t really changed that much from before. i can say that, because you just need to go in a lone fighter match, and watch the AI. they just… line up togheter, cap a point in the same spot. and no awareness of danger at all.
the only thing that has been improved, it’s their aim. ( i believe ? )

The heavier the weapon, the greater its impact on stamina.
i noticed this factor, and i don’t really like it. i do understand that the weight is a thing, but with the player move reduction from before, it really killed the movement overhall. i find it hard to believe that you will run out of stamina after 5 seconds of running. i really hope it will be improved like in this suggestion:

Now, when aiming at an ally’s mobile spawn point, it will be indicated as an allied construction, as with allied vehicles.
this feature i really liked. because with the combination of the player’s/teammates marks it makes you caution on everything. just like real life. like, you see someone but you are not sure, so you aim him. and than, you realize if it’s an enemy or an ally.

Changed pilot angle of view.
i don’t like it at all. if it was harder before, now it’s even worse. so at this point, is it possible to have a rearview mirror in the cockpick?

Interface

Zone capture progress now changed from a numerical to a graphical indication.
i dislike it. too arcade. just like the one from before, it tells you how many people are in the cap point, since as the devs claimed that this is a realistic game, you shouldn’t know it. but this is just my opinion.

and the others i don’t think there’s much else to say.

Conclusion

it’s a cool update. but i’m stil disappointed by the health perks not being balance. and this is one of the few reasons why someone will not stay for too long.

as a " big " update, i wished for new vehicles, more fixes, but i do understand limits.
otherwise, good job. and keep it up.

Definitely this, I almost never see a machine gun on Russian teams in squads, even playing as Germany.
Meanwhile everybody and their brother on German team has an MG in their squad so Russians die to mass MG hipfiring from every direction.

now we have miraculously-precise AT-gun snipers who can directly hit human targets at long range, and shoot through log walls with HE.

Its not too hard, just practice.

I definitely love the AT guns, (I made a post about them, and to see them added, so good) the stamina is clunky. The A.I.'s seem to either be elite snipers or blind, but more extreme. The health perks not having been attended to is concerning to say the least. PPKs are still MG snipers. Overall, I like the new AT guns, but dislike the lack of attention to the Health perks.

Can confirm after shooting enemies from extreme distances on the new map, to the point it took like 1 full second or longer for the bullet to arrive on the other side. Would take like 5 hits to take someone down lol

that’s how many hits pistol-calibers take to kill at point blank for me

They already did lower the recoil of ppd

I find myself really agreeing on many points that you’ve mentioned. The “proper nerf” engineer class is odd to get is limit what they can build by teams rather than individuals, means each team could only get upto X amount of this & that built by anyone, note that a shot down MG on the MG-nest (while the sandbags are still standing) should still prevent that team from build another if they hit the max unless it get removed.

I’m on same boat too regarding the sprint impact, it really doesn’t make sense as long as they normalized movement speed regardless of the currently equipped weapon, I’d say if they want to tinker with it is make it based on the total of what you are carrying (& even this doesn’t suits the game to be frank).

When it comes to the AI I doesn’t see any difference from the very first time I got invited till the moment (the aim thing is true but it’s influenced by stars), the issue with them now is that they are way frequently bumping into the player running in front of his aim & some time ram him while running which disturb aiming (this was happening before but the intensity of it increase significantly in one of the update they’ve done previously).

There are stuff that you didn’t mention that has to be brought into attention imo. First, is “Untrained tankers will now aim separately in the horizontal and vertical axis.” this thing is extremely horrible & I’m to question whom came up with it & what was it suppose to achieve. What this actually does is even give a further advantage for progressed players & deny new recruits the ability to actually respond to the enemy.

If that was suppose to deny let’s say other soldier squads (like general infantry, assaulter & so on) it would be understandable since tank crewmen should have an edge using their equipment compared to untrained soldiers in that sphere (not trained to use equipment like tanks).

Second. “Zone capture progress now changed from a numerical to a graphical indication.” although now it look nearer I’d rather see it displayed numerically, although some might say it’s not that much of change I’d rather have a better displayed info, being able to change it in the option menu would be a good (bsaically this allows for detailed info which is power in some sort).

Totally this is a positive update, map testing is still to be evaluated although it look amazing & really unique to anything Enlisted players experienced, really liked that fact that PPD hits not registering got fixed & was surprised it was the animations doing (if not something else that got fixed without it being mentioned). I won’t deny that I was expecting more to it but I guess the map thing is big enough.

Would punish good players for the mistake of bad players.

Mind you, I can not see or know if a bad / troll player built a MG nest somewhere in the bushes far off the map and shot the MG on it.

oh jeez. i didn’t payed attention because i don’t usually play tanks. i was about to, if the pzIIIb would have been replaced. and i do agree here. i don’t understand the point. wouldn’t have been much better if the tanker would have remain untouched, by upgradable through perks.
quite a mess here.

well, i did mentioned this, but again, it’s not very realistic in my opinion. but at the same time, i’m not sure devs are pointing for that.

i guess everyone was expecting a little more, but again, for now, it’s an ok update.

sadly, not better as i wished, because german weapons still feel weaker, perks are keep breaking everyone’s fun, and pz3b is widely avoided. still many other issues. but i’m just hoping it’s a matter of time. for the rest, we’ll see.

They’re taking the crew progression from war thunder and putting it into enlisted, which is absolutely stupid and will drive players away in the long run, but alas gaijin/darkflow is greedy…

yup.
Big diffrence in “5+1” and “5+20” soldiers in a cap. It only shows the first bunch.
In the former, I would go in guns blazing, in the latter I would spam grenades.

I have been saying for ages in War Thunder that buying crew stats is low-key OP but nobody ever talked about it.
