Because they suck hard.
I shoot down more with handguns than with those pathetic wannabe 20mms

  1. Agreed ai need a lot of work to feel more authentic and enjoyable to play with and against

  2. Agreed the nerfs ruined so many unique aspects to this game and the game lost so much character as a result and became more mainstreamed and too much like other crap games already on the market. But my guess is that whilst we appreciate the differences, they want to attract more mainstream people. I would add that the solution was never to nerf things into oblivion the way they have, but to reduce players in existing sizes of maps & objectives or increase the sizes and keep the player numbers. Having bots is ok because they don’t care about being farmed and spawn camped or obliterated repeatedly, but players don’t like that so much.

  3. Definitely were times when I saw a machine gun on a tank and nobody using it and felt like I should just get up there and use it, the tanks was already firing out in the open anyway, so not like he was trying to be sneaky and hide, but still need option for the tanker to decide whether to accept the gunner or block them out of it if they don’t want it being used

  4. Can’t be mandatory, has to remain optional, that alone can be a reason to push a section of a playerbase away from a game entirely. The reason I suspect some players play like bots, is because they are bots being disguised as players.

  5. Not if the hitbox is outside the real limitation of the physical body, that would just be stupid, already there are new extra downed animations, they are ok, unnecessary but ok, would make sense when a player is healing that he would be lying down, depending on severity of injury

  6. Not full destruction, but some places do need extra weak places to break, like some hangars only have limited doors, would be good to break some extra entrances in some places like the big walls on normandy have some destructible sections. Some maps need more of that for sure

if BR is implemented as the main mode in this game, then there is no way to make it great again after that, it will ruin itself. They need to re think the BR into a side mode and consider that campaigns also have to remain

and AT guns are ineffective against end game tanks in certain campaigns.

i am above average skilled player. i would even go as far to tell that i am in top 5-10% players skilled wise (doesnt tell anything about me, it just tells the story about other players that play this game).
so if i am having problems taking down planes and need planes to pass 2-3 times before i deal critical damage to them, that means that vast majority of players will have even worse problem taking down the planes.

also it is not only about skill, shitty game hit registration also plays big role in this.

true… i would rather shoot MG/SMG/SA at plane than build AA. even have more luck with those at taking down planes and dont even need to wait for few minutes in back to kill a plane.

I disagree on points 3 & 4.

3 - Could be fun for Tanks but what happens to the rest of your squad while you sit in someones tank using the MG? Doesn’t really fit the squad style play when you have 2 squads in one tank. As for planes… absolutely not. Its frustrating enough when we are losing or in the meat grinder trying to get guys on point and I see 2 planes flying around attempting to get a few kills… especially when the point is inside. Thats 2 squads that are not helping the team much at all. Now imagine 4 potential squads up in the air… 2 of which are sitting on MGs in the unlikely event an enemy plane is going after air targets? 95% of the time they would be doing nothing. There are enough “where is the rest of my team” moments in this game. I think the current system where the AI controls your rear MG is plenty.

4 - At least in my friend group, theres nothing worse than a new game and being forced into mandatory tutorials… Let me play and figure it out. If I feel like I need it, I’ll play/watch the tutorials… or even look at the control mappings. But most tutorials are like “move forward, crouch, stand here to cap…” Outside of players that are new to the FPS genre, mandatory tutorials would be such a pain/bore. Let the player pick and choose what they need to learn.

Some players would see this as a negative, as they switch to that character to use the equipment and find that it has already been used.

Also, it may make them TOO effective.

I could agree with more intelligent routes when attacking objective and better use of cover when in the objective.

Its called game balance. The maps are too small for that level of mass destruction. On top of that, the element of “preserving one’s own life” is non-existent, so things that are that destructive are far too powerful if they were as powerful as they were in real life.

This has been discussed in the past. While it may be a cool addition, you also have to remember there are only so many players in a game. So for each additional player that is in a vehicle, that is one less squad on the ground fighting for the objective or playing another support role.

I agree with this, and will take it a step further. I think there are certain things that should have a “certification scenario”. That once you finish the tutorial, you need to pass the scenario (that doesn’t hold your hand) in order to use that function in game. Like for aircraft and tanks.

Arms and legs already have adequate hitboxes. Different “downed” animations would be nice.
I would like to note on the “downed” side of things I would like to see the addition of the ability to use sidearms while downed.

To a certain degree I can agree with this. I’ve mentioned in the past for example that I would like to see the ability to fill the hole in the side of bunkers and such with its own unique structure that engineers only have to spend materials on and time hammering, instead of trying to fill the area below with random junk.

Take an engineer squad.

Definetly

that would just throw balance out the window, what you are suggesting is just impractical and detrimental to gameplay.

Unnecessary

Mandatory? Hell no, giving incentives as xp boosts? sure

these are more details than game changing alterations but sure why not.

yeah, that would be cool

Make Enlisted Great Again!!!
