Oh I know. It wouldn’t be perfect… But at least, closer.
A bit like good old red orchestra. The game surprisingly achieved PERFECT balance and yet used different weapons. Stg was against ppsh41, both teams had the same amounts, both had only 2 snipers, only 2 semi autos, infinite bolt actions etc.
It wasn’t perfect HA squad loadouts, but it worked, was balanced, fun and historically close to reality.
Yes it was peak Enlisted experience for me.
“Balance” even before BRs.
And no obnoxious AP mines/auto spam.
Ok no, peak peak experience was 50v50 lone soldier lobbies with proper factions fighting on a proper map.
Too bad that doesn’t really happen anymore.
Also this could open up various scenarios for not-equal-BR fights: like Kursk with more T-34-76s against 1 Panther and 1 Tiger, or North Africa with more Churchills vs 1 Tiger, etc.
The games mechanics don’t go that far into the realistic side. But good point. I guess equip them with kar98’s? Idk
Idk honestly as i find the mg34 a better mg than the dp27 by far. Especially for close and medium range. But it is just an event and not anything game majorly changing. So I mean still give it a go. Afterall it would be for immersion sake, so if people don’t like the battle of said week, then they can play the normal br queues and see what the next week’s battle would be
Or with 2 premium slots could open up for people to show off their Lewis gun squad in Moscow or even the moschetto Italian squads and Moroccan squads in Tunisia. Could even add diversity in game play such as radio squads for artillery or any other squads with premium engineers for building hmg’s and cannons.
To which case as a compromise, they can put a flame squad on the Germans rotation for Moscow. With the idea of adding 2 exclusive battle based premium slots for each battle at most, they can allow for Germany in Leningrad for instance if they add it in, to use the Suomi kp31 squad since the Finnish were fighting alongside Germany during that battle.
X.com. But i get most of my info on squad structures from Battle order. However im now taking second thoughs about this x.com source. It wad the only thing i could find as far as diagrams for finnish rifle squad structures
