I have always tried to suggest systems that are the best for the majority of the community, instead of what I myself am interested in. Yet he just keeps on going about what he feels.
For example, I turned down @47094123’s suggestion he sent me in PMs that could be added to the monetization poll because it was unpolished and maybe confusing for voters. As far as I know, he agreed with me. I thought it was a pretty cool idea, but for the community, it was better to be left out.
Or matchmaker.
I have had a bunch of ideas for MM, but I always hit a roadblock when it comes to how to handle premium squads in them. As a result, I just don’t post them. I only post stuff where I genuinely can think of “it will favor the community”, when it comes to the people I talk to here and on discord. And it does make me very happy that more and more people join this train of thought.
Funnily enough, I just thought that you misunderstood me, or just kept all disadvantages or weak points of what I suggested to yourself (because I couldnt come up with any, if anything, it would give useless asset we already have in game actual purpose).
Alas, I have zero interest to keep digging into that for now.
You make a lot of subjective assumptions as counter arguments to objective statements against these features.
For example:
The premium account states you can bring +1 infantry and +1 vehicle squad. As such, it gives OBJECTIVELY more options for use in battle, with OBJECTIVELY increases your ability to adapt to a situation, which DIRECTLY affects your winrate. As such, it is not balanced. Instead, it is pay to win.
And unless you want to tell me you are 100% fine with P2W, proving you don’t have the same moral compass that everyone else here has, there is no way you can justify that with a mere opinion.
This one is also concerning, as what happens if you NEED those soldiers to get your final level 5 soldiers?
Math says you would need up to ~6 soldiers of any class to fill up all your squads, which is a considerable ammount if you consider the 3x3x3x3 soldiers you need per rank 5 soldier. What if you run out of space as F2P?
Honestly after going it some thought the premium time IN MY OPINION is a bit p2w but I think it’s fine. I’m going to compare Enlisted to War Thunder in monetization. In War thunder you can buy crew slots to increase the amount of vehicles you can bring to any respawn gamemode. you can buy the first three in non premium currency. For any crew slot above that you have to buy them with premium currency. In Enlisted you have to pay monthly to get the +2 squads. The only change I would like is the remove the +1 vehicle. Honestly having another infantry squad is pretty small. If they do add premium time as it is I would be a little disappointed but wouldn’t scream about
War Thunder is known to be P2W and is known to be unique enough to not have to care about it as it will keep enough players anyways.
Mortar squad that would be useless on indoor maps
Sniper squad that would be useless on small maps
AT squad that would be useless without tanks
All of these can safely be brought into battle with the extra infantry squad without risk of having a “dead squad” in your lineup due to local battle conditions, so I’d argue it is a bigger issue than you might think.
Even in peak tryharding mode, you can bring 2 SMG and 2 LMG squads to better adapt to the ranges the combat takes place in, in addition to always having at least 1 engineer available for use if you need it and swap between the premium SMG/LMG squads + 3rd squad.
At least vehicles are still locked behind a limited amount of vehicle active at the same time, but for infantry, such limit does not exist.
I think this is not a big problem. I ran out of my reserve a long time ago, but at some point you can just afford to send all unused soldiers to reserve. For me they were pilots in Moscow, every I tier soldiers, mortarmen, AT soldiers. So it can irritate, but it is thanks to RNG based logistics and new waves of I lvl soldiers.
No, I mean, you need so many soldiers, at some point you cannot fit that last level 1 soldier in your reserve that you need to get a level 2, which you would need to get the level 3, and so on. You would have to rely on random chance to get a higher level soldier in those last slots.
I’m just giving my point of view as a F2P player who ran out from reserve
I personally see it as more of a quality of life improvement and not something that could be considered as an unfair advantage. As I described, when it really happens most of your forces consist of III or couple IV lvl soldiers and you can go into quality over quantity. There are options to fill unused squads full with low level soldiers, sending unwanted ones to reserve… Couple of ways to deal with filled up reserves.
True, I’m just expressing my concerns for if it turns out to be impossible to get each squad filled up with only max level soldiers without having to swap out without buying premium time. That said, if that is the case, I don’t see a need to remove that feature from the premium time. It would only require an increase of reserve slots to make sure you have enough space for it to be possible
