Same here in my opinion. Remove the boni (which I assume are from a time when the devs thought they need to give Japan other boni in order to make up for weaker weapons) and only give the Katana the speed boni, not the ordinary Gunto.

There is nothing that can be done about this injustice Decard its over the Japanese faction won it turned the USSR faction in to French Faction now

Some very interesting numbers, would love to see more of these, I like the way it’s not just obvious stats too!
Hopefully Rider II, Japanese getting more good stuff, so I can add more presets for each BR like other factions.
Moroccans also need Default army customization in Normandy.
Happy New Year, another year of exciting stuff to look forwards to. Keep up the good work!
I farm German BR3 all the time when there is an event going on. I tend to see a pretty equal distribution among pz4f2, pz4g, and pz4j. Also, I don’t think any veteran would choose pz4j over pz4g or pz4h. Still, it doesn’t explain the popularity of g41 since at least 50% of German BR3 players will choose vg1-5 over g41, so there is no way g41 is the most used BR3 weapon. We also have to ignore other popular weapons like svt38, ppsh41box, mg34, bar.
Aside from the “update” problem, it was a great year for events…maybe more updates to SitReps and when issues arise will keep everyone calmer in 2026. Is there going to be an update in the New Year for the next main direction that will be developed like the Manchuria campaign? A new battle mechanic like expanded soldier assignments or BR levels for battles? New dynamic like the introduction of jets? New map systems like when Tunisia was made better? Additions for new countries/TTs/factions/squads/weapons…hint hint Lewis gun in TT?
Keep the ball rolling for 2026 and make it grow!
I hope that in 2026 there will be a truly genuine matchmaking system, where we can actually avoid a specific map or game mode. The matchmaking system that was introduced is just a placebo; in reality, we don’t choose anything, and yet we are penalized for leaving a match or game mode that we didn’t choose, even when the map or game mode is repeated across multiple matches.
I don’t know if the M18 A1 is equivalent to the RPzB 43, but I think it would be an idea to consider for replacing the RPzB in the US arsenal. I don’t think it makes sense to have it in the American research tree; perhaps if it were some kind of event weapon, distributed in small numbers.
As far as I am aware, the HEAT warhead of the M18 recoilless rifle was actually slighlty worse than the M1 Bazooka’s warhead in terms of penetration (though range and I expect accuracy was better in turn), but I could be remembering wrongly…
Not that it matters much, I think the M18 would be more awsome as a unique US Engineer/AT squad buildable, mounting it on a MG tripod on top of those crates, giving you the option of building a mini-cannon inside of a house behind a open window. The M18 would then have access to the well regarded HE rounds, the less liked HEAT rounds, and then WP rounds (or just plain smoke, for balance).
Could be fun…?
After writing this segment, I realized you were talking about the M18 Bazooka prototype (yay, I love the US military designation system, “my favourite gun is the M1”), not the recoilless rifle… On that one specificly, I think it was actually just a aluminum reconstruction (to make it lighter), it otherwise had the same performance…
Could a interesting event reward (weapon weight does effect stamina usage during sprinting after all, as far as I am aware)… But it wouldn’t add any new capabilities.
Personally though, I think we should just bite the bullet and add a prototype M20 bazooka instead… Rather a unique prototype over captured copy-paste.
Japan can get that prototype 9cm Type 4 rocket launcher (might not be good enough for BR IV though, but a BR III AT gun is still a massive improvement if added).
Always try to change the subject when body armor is discussed
It would be keen to see those weapon popularity stats split out by faction.
This would be useful in many situations, It’s about time engineers had new resources.
Well, I have no answer about such a bias, but you have a new 2026 to answer. Time has passed, williboy
Sprayed down a full squad of turtles with it earlier… every time i kill a guy with body armor i just laugh at how obsessed people are with this topic.
A special thank you to everyone who made it possible to play as Germany, Japan, and Italy in World War II games! After all, Star Wars wouldn’t be so amazing without Darth Vader, if you know what I mean… Finally, we are here to have fun “fighting each other” fiercely in an infinite loop of resurrections as if we were in Valhalla! So, Happy New Year to everyone and if possible bring back the Chinese players who were kicked out of the game for accumulating silver due to system abuse; many of them are very good players and I want the opportunity to face them on the battlefield!

Sure, but its just a fancy tube in 1945, the improved shells were only finished well after WW2.
Again, its more about the principal than anything. Refer to my earlier analogy of pretending each faction is a person competing in a race. And let’s say body armor lets 1 person start the race a tiny bit farther from the starting line.
Does it mean the person will always achieve victory? No. But it’s an advantage that is unavailable to every other participant trying to get victory and therefore it’s wrong, no matter how big or small it is
But it’s an advantage that is unavailable to every other participant
So are japanese’s universal swords… but when someone mentions that you say it’s switching the topic, no… it’s pointing out the one sidedness.
