keeping is not same as fielding them at the same time. also they were not precise in language, so for all we know that “keeping” could also mean we keep all soldiers from those squads and they will be put in reserves. they technically kept squads, just we cant field them.
Yeah they should limit the amount of a squad class per battle. Not only would this stop assaulter spam, it would also stop plane and tank cycling.
I want to know is only way to guarantee to play the new campaign, put my Pacific planes in line up? For Axis it was already confirmed if Japanese you will land on Pacific, but for US what line up do I need?
Same applies for Tunisia, do I have my troops with shorts in lineup to increase chance of Tunisia?

I don’t think it matters since the Germans can bring late war gear, so you probably can too.

Would you prefer that the developers decide which of your squads should be deleted? Not me! I want to make those decisions myself if it comes down to it. Besides, they’re not being deleted.
You may want to combine soldiers from different squads from different campaigns to maximize their abilities based on weapons, perks, etc. Why would you want them deleted?
