The difficulty curve of this game is insane after the first game as a new player = quit

I was overwhelmed with the sound of war when I started playing personally. Half the fun with this game was learning what to do with my squad post game. If you are familiar with any Battlefield game the transition to this game shouldn’t be bad. There is absolutely a deep learning curve post game and you are either cut for it or you aren’t. Best advice is to join discord, ask questions or join a clan to skip hours and weeks of learning. I embraced the challenge

The westwoodman paradox point

The W Paradox Point is the theorical representation of a player knowledge transitionning from a weapon oriented gameplay to a team support gameplay. In the game it manifest by the use of Rally points, the tag fonction (on tanks) and a focus on the objective.
The paradox is often summerized by: “The hammer is is mightier than the sword”

The W Redondance Point (french for redundancy) is the point where the player develop a phichological barrier and refuse to improve his team gameplay and learn new mechanics because of the unfair attribute of assymetrical gameplay.
It has been discovered by the French scientist Upolaf in Enlisted in January 2022.

While the W paradox point rely on discovery of the gameplay, the W redondance point is affected by frustration.

After planning some new wiki pages:
Why this game still has so many hidden mechanism.

Gun deviation, dynamic respawn ticket, AI behavior, and so on.

Near the W point also are the “Nerf FG42” and “Jumbo OP” points.

I like you. Quality post.

It’s time for you to retire.

I welcomed a friend yesterday in the game. His highest lvl of all campaigns combined was lvl… 2. (Allies Normandy). Togheter we ended top 3 every match, he even ended up top first once while I goofed around in the sky with a newly unlocked p51 (I’m not high lvl myself in Normandy and try to not buy any equipment, for an experiment I have fun doing). So… yeah. What you say just isn’t true, sorry.

I short. There’s NO multiplayer shooter existing that I know of where new players have it as easy as those having experience. Thinking about it, it’s the same for any game. In fact, it’s the same for simply everything in life…

Play, learn a bit doing so, then it will be easy. But don’t expect to be amazing right at the start and justify why you are having troubles by blaming matchmaking, other players, their weapons vehicles and whatnot…

Try to go slow, this is not cod, people die with one rifle round.
Go to building or cover, kill an enemy squad or two, go to next building, repeat.

Best thing to do is not be a quiter, you’ll only get better with effort, with ease you will only stagnate. Man up for the challange. You might pick up something from those high skill players such as rally points positions, engagement tactics, flanking routes, playstyles, etc.
