Good call, a sensible way to continue the investigation.
Nothing new for the pilots, sadly, they remain as chilly as before.
Tankers have recieved one new thing though (unless I just never noticed), and it’s the same white/grey coloured jumper as was recently added for the Event Flamethrower squad:
There’s actually quite a lot that could be done when it comes to winter tanker outfits… Like thicker tanker-battledresses in green or brown with hoods (folded up or down), as well as a Pixie suite (also added for APC squads):
The “Pixie suit” refers specificly to the camo uniform worn by tanker and AFV troopers in the British Army late in the war, the regular tanker uniform is still refered to as a “battledress”, as with all standard WW2 Commonwealth uniforms.
At least… I think so…? Only heard them refered to as such when they’re camouflaged.
Yeah, it seems like this pattern of British Tanker uniform is called both a “Pixie Suit” and “Tanker Battledress”, no matter of it’s camouflaged or not.
I thought that if it had camo, then it’s a Pixie suit, and if it didn’t, then it’s just a tanker battledress. They’re actually both one and the same, terminology wise.
By default, in Normandy, they should be wearing exactly the “Pixie Jumpsuit”, but due to the laziness of the developers, they wear Tunisian uniforms. It’s good that there are requests for a change of appearance and you can fix it.
I hope that silver boxes will appear in the update. At the moment, I don’t have enough cards to change appearance, I want to quickly dress my Brits in warm clothes instead of sweaters.
I just double checked, and just to make it a bit more comprehensive, the following en bloc (pedersen, garand, and SKS-30 excluded, and I couldn’t confirm the Berthier carbine) have the feature I talked about:
Carcano M41
Carcano Mod. 38
Carcano M1891
Armaguerra Mod. 39
Scotti Mod. X
Pavesi M42
Mannlicher M93
The following lack this feature:
Moschetto M91
Mannlicher M1895 (That one has more problems though)
And now the Type 88
