The full Auto FG II Squad or AS-44 squads, or T-20 squad do not resemble WW2 at all neither, but it is the META.
There’s little reason to make realistic squad loadout as you’re often more punished for it than rewarded. The name of the game is firepower capability not realism, so no wonder there’s SMG cycle spam, plane cycling or other bs tied to METAs that allow for an easier win.
Prototypes or weapons made in low amounts are often here just to balance out each faction and allow for a counterpart to exist, regardless if it should or not. Best example being the AS-44 X STG44

BR V is here for the GE wunderwaffe and Allied prototypes that balance it out. Issue is not the things being here, but them being spammed endlessly. But that is an issue of this game’s unrestricted loadout system.
If you’re looking for realistic squads with real weapon compositions, you’ll have to go look elsewhere. Post scriptum/Squad 44 or Hell Let Loose. I myself am tied to this game as I only have a laptop that can not run those games comfortably, so I am waiting till the hardware market crashes due to AI companies and then I’ll buy a proper PC and probably move on from Enlisted.

and the f9 if not a bait post should be, yes the allies are closer than every to being balanced with axis armor. Yes the axis deserves better planes not as good as the allies but better than what they have.

look if the community is going to demand a standard it needs to be one that is meaningful. we all know it will never happen but it cant be used as a club. axis usese it to club the us and ussr while ignoring that japan is by far the worse faction for ‘fake’ weapons.
100 or 500 does that sound like tech tree to you, should we include every pistol trophy picked up by every faction. i have no problem with anything and everything having its place in the game. but if we are to demand standard at least in the tech tree it has to mean something.
Király production documents were destroyed, however deployment was tracked and ~58000 guns were delivered to the army and its actually the 43M which is way, way more common. (source the Király submachine gun book by Soós Péter)

It was added to the end of Moscow, Stalingrad and Tunisia campaigns, the long progression requirement at least made them rare, but thats not the point since it was utterly unrealistic.
150 ZH-29s ordered by China, similar amount by Ethiopia, some bought by Siam, probably none was ever used by German soldiers, so much for realism of the campaigns.
Again it was the game devs that thought it would be a splendid idea. Like the SIG KE7 in the Axis tech tree because Ethiopia purchased 150 of them which then got captured by Italy. But I already shared my opinion on that.

For an entire army? No.
For a division? Yes, especially if its not a rifle.
For a small nation with few divisions, reasonable.
So numbers always depend on the context. But since you want to know what is the standard for a weapon to make it into the tech tree, let me answer you: it had to exist.
No use, numbers or reliability requirements. Even if a weapon exploded on the firing trial, it will still be added to the game.
yep, Canada and British commandos, other special forces. Mostly supplied to China.
None to US, still was the best pistol available for US.
FN plant in Belgium produced double of the Canadian production, under the occupation alone while thousands were captured too…

You should know by now that devs added guns with reusability in mind.
ZH-29 in Moscow? could also have been added to a campaign with China.
M21/28 Thompson? could go to US, British/Commonwealth, Chinese, French, Greek, Soviet troops…
Not to mention it was barely any work to add after M1928A1 was made.
Kinda like M1 Beretta and Beretta 38/42, I will never understand why a prototype like the M1 Beretta was added, only to add in the progression a 5% different gun 15 lvls later. (back then 38/42 didnt even have 550 rpm)
I unlocked Sten mk.II 3 times, MP40 5 times, K98K with GL 5 times, DP-27 3 times copy paste baby.
At least US had a little variety in Thompsons and BARs being different in campaigns, which heavily back fired now.
well, I did make multiple suggestions on British weapons like Sten mk.V, Lewis gun, Patchett… but all of them are being added as event, even though I did specifically mention that they should be tech tree.
This goes both ways, when was Japanese tanks a concern when discussing US tank BRs?
There will always be people that think things like DP-27 or G43 or AVT-40 or KV-1 (zis-5) should be a BR lower, but even they cant give a proper argument. ( I originally didnt want to name 75% soviet things, but they seem to have the highest share of these kind of lunatics).
