I just want to take this opportunity to say how much I despise the choice to make the ā€œstandardā€ rifle in this event for any non-specialist a BR3 semi auto. Would have vastly preferred a mix of Mosins vs Type 99s and Winchesters vs Type 38 Arisakas.

Arenā€™t some of these a bit excessive? 50 enemies with headshots? 120 with SMGā€™s? Sure, not impossible, but you already made the USSR vs. Japan event grindy as hell, why this too? I guess people werenā€™t playing THAT event, so with this new event, youā€™re hoping to get player counts up?

It will sure be fun to farm 120 SMG kills in the event in which there are a total of 4 SMGs spread across 3 different squads.

You can always do one match outside of this event per day. And youā€™ll easily completely task to achieve 120 smg kills in two days.

I really donā€™t see anything hardcore about it.

Or eventually you can just skip this one specific task. If I understand it correctly, the reward for it is just silvers. And you can skip up to 2 tasks to get all main rewards.

Just some thoughts on the tasks, there are pros and cons here.

Pros

  • Very nice that there is no ā€œcomplete 4 battlesā€ tasks, I mean it got down to 4 battles and I felt it was fine there, however its nice that better performing players can finish faster.
  • Nice to see an overarching theme for a mini event, aka, SMG reward means SMG tasks at all stages.

Cons

  • Encourages very toxic behaviour except for the last stages rally/APC task.
  • Such a high kill count such as 120 kills with a SMG on the last stage is going to bring out the worst of people, I am betting my left bollock BR2 soviets will be full of vets cycling assaulter squads with max perks and etc. The seal clubbing will be legendary. I mean just today Ive seen it already.
  • Kinda forcing players who like to make less sweaty loadouts to make sweaty loadouts, like I might have 1-4 SMGs across most lineups I play normally, (BR3 and below) (Sorry BR5, I just hate you), meaning I have to kinda throw matches as the attacker to keep cycling out to get my medics/APC/assaulters buried inside of other squads.

Wouldnā€™t the MP40/2 have been better? The DF these days is really lazy,unfriendly and stubborn Where has the old management gone? Itā€™s really disappointing.

This task should not appear in the event, as it will become very difficult to complete when many players almost simultaneously wish to complete it.

This is definitely too much, and itā€™s a torture. :skull:

I will skip this event, just like I skipped the USSR/Japan event.

BTW I dont like where these event requirements are goingā€¦
From 20k per 2 days, to 12k per 1 day (dont like it? buy a booster for 900 gold :laughing:).
And from 3 tasks to complete in a certain number of battles (which is actually the 4th task), to 4 full tasks.
Both events became more difficult to complete.
I will become more selective what to play, and what not, based on the tasks and the rewards.
And so far, I skipped both the events.
