They are but during Second Sino-Japanese War:
And Japan captured some of them there is even 15 and 20 round mags and possibly 40 round but I have never seen the 40 round mag. But its used by China mostly they have even their home produced variant.
However Japan would put their Japanese muzzle brake on them or add other small modification similar to other Japanese LMGs so they looked a bit different then the standard Chinese.
In reality was far more used then T-4 or Type Hei or that carabine we got it was the most realistic BR IV weapon we can get in the TT but no

Started playing br4 axis not too long ago. It’s the only faction which DOES have iconic things in br5, but br4 got so many fun things as well… It’s fun and challenging. also, I’m bored of SF spam, I just want to use good semis.

Truth. It’s a bad tier. Doesn’t have the casual laid back gameplay of low tier, nor the diversity of equipment of Tier 3. Instead it’s just a punching bag for Tier 5.
Of course it can still compete but why bother bringing a Panther or Panzer 4 J (or is it H) when you can bring a King Tiger

Well they can add the one with the muzzle brake and the other Japanese modifications to the TT I hope xD
What are the stats of the Type 14 Engraved?
And what’s the problem? Note that this weapon only slows you down by 20%, like the Bar and the BR3 version of KE7.
This one makes me 3. I need 3 more to complete my paratrooper’s sidearm. 
I love decorated weapons.
