Suicide bombing renders AAA and fighter planes useless

It reminded me of the joke:
“Why did you kill your husband?”
“It was an accident! He fell on the knife.”
“He fell on the knife? 48 times?!”

But seriously, if you know you are a bad pilot you:
a) practise in practise mode
b) after 2 crashes, have a brake

Or we may change it from 3 to 5 but then it becomes pointless.

I newer had that issue.
All I can sugest is to fix the damage model.

I said on ACCIDENT, you mong. Im a good pilot.

Have you ever had 3 accidents in a row? I guess no, that’s why I’m talking about low skilled players.

There is no real way to determine whether a crash was accidental or intentional, unless they had real admins constantly watching each match. A crash is a crash and it’s just something we have to live with until people start learning how to fly.

That’s why you have 3 chances. There is no way you would have 3 accidents.
And even if you somehow manage to have 3 accidents, its your fault. You should have stopped when you had a chance.

So I see that most of you don’t like my idea.
What are your suggestions to solve problem of suicide bombing (other than “don’t change anything” / “remove planes”)?

The reason people suicide bomb is because planes are awful to play. You spend most of your time firing random shots at an empty battlefield hoping to get a hit because people do not fancy putting markers down. Not to mention the esoteric damage calculation that seems to happen when planes get hit that results in controls being less predictable than a pitbull on meth.

Instead of getting into very elaborate restriction mechanism the solution is to make plane gameplay actually enjoyable. Increasing rendering distance would be a great start, as is a simple heatmap-like view that allows you to spot firefights from above better and reduce (but not eliminate) your reliance on allied markers.

I haven’t really had any issues with this but I can see where you all are coming from.

So instead of having a banning system or minus XP system, just add a buy in. Such as you sacrifice “X” amount of your experience to use your plane. If you are a decent pilot you can make that experience back no problem. In my opinion that would deter players from simply crashing into the ground doing a quick suicide run (making your plane significantly more valuable), while this can be a deterrent to newer players I believe this would pose much less of an issue than simply banning people from Aircraft.

I would suggest, every player gets 1, maybe 2 Planes per Match, when you use them to suicide crash, thats it for your planes.

Or 10 planes per Team per match, after 10 are used, its over for flying planes.

There is no other way around this issue I think.

There would be probably less crashes without that stupid persisting fog that obscures battlefield!

this would be really good solution

Why would you get banned? You just would not get any exp.

You got hit, that is fine. You did not intentional decide to be guided missile but got hit and crashed. Fine by me.

This is also good idea that we can work on. But War Thunder has similar reward mechanism and lots of people only know how to head on. I actually stopped playing because of this and some other things. Go head on, kill one or two planes and go to the next match, exp is here, why waste time. Game is not rewarding you to survive the battle which is at least for me wrong.

yes currentley it seems in general , in the game , there is no any good explaination to keep yoursefl alive , even with inf , it pays much butter ,(in any mode outside attaking side on the art point) just to get rambo style kill as many as u can and then respawn again , sometime im alone im m squad triying to survive and “sneak” around , yo get 0 reward , while i just can go killl someone , and then spwan again.

i think in geral we need , less spawn per player or muhc more time , now is too COD style running around gun blazing

I don’t know how to reply to two people with the same post so here I go.

I understand what you are saying and thinking about it, I agree. So what about adjusting the ticket system? Make it more like the game “Squad”, granted Enlisted is MUCH faster pace and less tactical. But with that said Enlisted could adapt to something more like Squads ticket system. Such as planes/tanks cost more tickets. Granted the initial implementation of it would be pretty bad, such as people still suiciding themselves costing the team more tickets but I think in the long run it would die down because the faster the game goes the less experience you get.

No - I got hit and decided I didn’t want to have to battle the controls with a high chance of losing control, so I got out so that I could play an “undamaged” squad…andhow does the game know?

All you need to do is make it so that getting to the fight takes an extra 20-30 seconds, and re-arming is much faster than getting a new plane. No need for bans/no exp just make it so its more difficult to get a new plane than it is to rearm (which honestly should be common sense).

I don’t know is it due to language barrier or am I maybe speaking chinese.

If you got hit and decide to crash its fine by me, you didn’t crash an undamaged plane. As you said there is no jump out mechanic implemented yet.

You would only get punished by getting no exp if you ram your plane if undamaged. It doesn’t make difference if you did it on purpose or by accident.

Or even easier solution… If you die in aircraft in 30 +/- seconds after spawning in plane, then you probably in 99% decided for suicide run. Don’t know how long does it take from spawn to target, had to test it. But no exp for you mate if this condition is met. It will noy completely stop suicide bombers but it would definitely decrease its number.

I find this especially annoying because even if a fighter pilot empties rounds into a bomber, even with most actually hitting, when a bomber suicide crashes the fighter pilot isnt giving credit or anything. It wastes the fighter’s ammo and makes it pointless to even attempt to down an enemy plane. The only surefire way to get that kill on the bomber would be to crash yourself into them and waste both planes.

The problem with planes currently is the damage model where even a nick in the wing makes it near uncontrolable and the render distance that makes you blinder than a bat.
