Vehicle spam is good
More xp pinatas = better games

Italian starter tanks die just by shooting the front with MGs. :joy:

As someone that has played the Tunisia campaign extensively, I can tell you that you are REALLY overthinking it.
The AT field gun you can build as engineer is a staple support weapon in that campaign as the maps actually allow for its usage quite often.
As far as killing the A13, stop trying to use AP rounds against it. Just use an HE round and even from the front it will kill it (if using field gun).
Otherwise, utilize an AT rifle, it will punch clean through armor and let you shoot out the crew.
Use smoke to block its view.

There are tons of options.
You just have to utilize them.

Will it kill with 45mm HE then?

They are fine by themselves and rather easy to kill with explosive pack from front, yes, but you forget that I am literally the only living person in my team and vehicle spam WITH contstant infatry attacks from 360 degrees is too much, expecially when you die from random HE into your builing first (because they shoot endlessly in one spot with he), and then die off 1000pound bomb on next respawn, and then get shot by HE again, only to respawn and get destroyed by premium flamethrower, that is quality Normandy experience in early war campaign with mostly bolt actions.
P.S. I tried to build some at guns at my territory or in flanks today, there are always 10-20 people covering that position all the time, and dont forget I have a point to defend or capture all by myself.

Trust me, as someone that has played that campaign a lot, I know how frustrating it can be, especially if you are solo.
MOST situations, especially early on, you simply won’t win by yourself. If on attack on a lot of the maps, the sheer number of vehicles or even just infantry going against you won’t be feasible to get through. Maybe once you get a flamethrower squad (combo with molotovs), and you might stand a chance.

As far as defense… There is definitely a lack of game mechanics that make defense actually doable. Once you unlock AT and AP mines, you get a bit more leniency. Even so, I recommend spending some time at the range to thoroughly learn the engineer SQUAD. If you need additional info, send me a message. A lot of the tricks I use almost nobody else does, but it can make a massive difference, assuming you have either a chokepoint or a fortifiable position.

Well, you can block off windows and place barbed wire under them, place AT metal barricades at doorways. maybe use aa guns for blockade also, makes defense somewhat possible, but you just dont get enough time with the brit abilty to teleport in masses inside you from all angles) Really have no idea how they do it, and I played brits for a while, never actually noticed such quick position ceasing anywhere else, they just pop out of thin air. Thanks for advice though, I actually did won a couple of games because of engineering, very nice and close call ones, I had another human players with me I guess, but I think I ll finish on Armaguerra, since the next 5 lvls are dublicates of what I already have, but Tunisia is actually one of my favorite campaigns, mostly because its toned down by overall power level of equipment and vehicles (except late ones of coarse), hope to see it being actually fun after the update I guess, because its boring for both sides right now, as well as Pacific and Berlin (Soviets struggle).

Don’t forget that some areas allow you to double stack sandbags. Usually not too much directly around objectives, but flank positions are normally fine. This coupled with standard MG nest (sometimes HMG) you can build a spot that is a lot harder to take down.

Also, very importantly, use a shovel to trench out areas for your barbwire. 2x6/ wire. This makes it a lot harder to avoid as well as last far longer by being less susceptible to explosions.

Rather than using tank traps in doorways, use them outside to create “gates” against tanks, and funnels against infantry.
Gates can be made by blocking the sides of the road and setting AT mines in the gap. This way, friendly tanks can get through, but enemy tanks… not so much.
As far as funnels, rather than blocking off an entry point, use tank traps to force them through doorways more efficiently rather than being able to take cover at the sides of the door. You can hang out with an MG and rip them apart coming in, especially with an ammo box and sandbags with a slot between them.

Another note about tank traps that I’ve never seen others use, but I’ve started doing more myself:
IF you set up your angles correctly and use a HMG, you can actually ricochet bullets off them at predictable angles. Effectively allowing you to corner shot enemies if you know what you are doing. Like I said, spend time at the range.

Creative placement of rally points probably. I prefer playing as the Brits, though that is because of 2 main factors.

  1. My buddy that plays as a dedicated sniper (and is VERY effective) prefers the Enfield Sniper.
  2. The MG nest you can build has the M1919A6 on it. Its my favorite weapon from that era.

Trust me, I’ve been constantly asking for game mechanics to be added that allow defenders to actually have a chance to set up. Unfortunately, a bunch of the player base thinks the game should be made more like COD and defenses shouldn’t be included. I hope the devs see past that though and make good changes for defense.

I mean I look at the road, watch in other direction for a quick second, and now the road if flooded by people, that is not a typical spawn at rally point, but I am usually blind at these games so it might be subjective, if only the game had ANY sound for running or vaulting windows.

That is nice, never saw that in game, might try, even though I ll might just get shot by a bot or tank from mile away, like it always happen.

People are tend to just prefire with their smgs or mgs when going inside the building, it is fine when you build an mg nest, but none of my engie squads can do that, I guess only engie 2s can build it, right? And even if I have a chance to build one, with Moscow event at squad, I mostly prefer shooting and hunting for enemy rally points if possible, rather than taking stationary positions, makes be bored immidiately. But the pattern is nice, I might even see it once or twice. The pattern I saw today was double barbed wire with several at traps behind it, all entrances were like that with blocked windows, even that is hard to overwhelm when noone knows what to do.

After faced m13 on every corner i can say the a13 is nothing compared,a13 dont have armor, for kill him use expo pack or tnt were you want on him or use the AT-RIFLE for blow up the ammo

Anyway tunisia axis is currently underpopulated and tunisia allies is full of noob and pve enjoier, find 3 guy on the forum or discord and you dont lose anymore a single battle

If i had the time and energy id propose we make a group and rally the DAK!!!

But im too lazy …

… It does.

That is why its important to identify where you think the objective is going next and find an area on route to it. Set up before hand if at all possible. I usually do buried barbwire across open field areas as well, so its easier to gun them down when they try to cross. Set tank traps up in front of it (on their side) to prevent tanks driving through it. Setting AT mines in the gaps helps too.

As far as building up quicker there are a couple tricks to use:

  1. you can order other engineers in your squad to finish building what you start, allowing you to set the “ghost” blueprint and letting the AI finish it.

  2. using that same order, you can make them assist you in building a structure, significantly speeding it up.

  3. carry smoke grenades on your engineers. This helps give you a little extra time.

  4. Perks. Melee speed is an absolute must on engineers that you plan to dig with (I put it on all of mine.) This lets you dig considerably faster. Other very useful perks include “40% more material”, faster medkit use speed, more medkit heal amount, and greater chance of being knocked but not killed.
These will let you make your engineers much more efficient.

  5. Tied in with the medkit perks I suggested, I highly recommend using a backpack with extra medkit slots.

Only engineer 2 squads can build the standard MG nest currently. However, a MG SQUAD with an engineer can build a HMG. Be careful with these though as they will shatter sandbag walls if you hit them.
The other thing is like I said:
Make a slot with sandbags. Use an Machinegunner that is braced in that position and an ammo box behind him. Its an improvised nest.

Well, when you are the only one on your team, and you wish to win at defense, you actually need to focus on holding the objective. If you find that too boring, I would have to suggest playing something other than Tunisia, as that is a key part of that campaign. Perhaps Pacific would be more up your alley.

Still somehow better than M14(
