Spawn Ticket Limit for Defenders

Notice anything wrong with the above picture? I’ll point it out. The defenders had way more deaths than the attackers but due to no spawn limit they were able to scrape by with a win at the last objective. Their plan was to pretty much suicide charge the attackers, then spawn in a bf110 when it was available and do a suicide rocket run with that. Their entire team did this strategy. As a result their first place player had 31 squad deaths but they weren’t punished for this.
I propose that the defenders get an overall base ticket amount of ~1500 (compared to the attackers getting roughly 2000 in total). This number would only decrease from loss of troops and have no boosts to it unlike attackers. This would force both sides to play the “ticket game” where they have to plan out a strategy. Do they throw everything they have at the enemy at the start in the hope of beating them early? Or do they draw it out and play so they win by tickets at the end. Either way the current system allows players to just rush headlong at the enemy to defend and I think this needs to change.

Bro it’s invasion it’s not a deathmatch

the ticket game won’t work, the attackers will just stop playing the objective and go for the kills instead. like they already are but even worse. they could make the defender respawn longer so you need to play more carefull because if you die you derive your team for lets say a whole minute of a full squad.

The only thing I see wrong here is that half your team was terrible.

Either way, THAT IS THE POINT OF D-DAY AND THE ENTIRE MODE. You’re attacking germany. It’s their territory. This isn’t Team Deathmatch.

If you want TDM go play TF2.

I agree with everyone else. If you want team death match go elsewhere.

Another one with the masses - it works as intended and is fine

Guys, I don’t want TDM. I just don’t want Germany to suicide rush/bomb the whole game. I suggested this because this works really well in Red Orchaestra (in my opinion). Because the DEFENDERS bum rushing the attackers the whole game is not:

I do like this suggestion though:

Although maybe not a full minute? Maybe just an additional 5-10 seconds from normal to slow them down a bit and actually punish these tactics

Youre completely incorrect. Giving tickets to defenders on invasion leads to just a different flavored TDM.

You need to give defenders more respawn time. At least an extra 15-30 seconds if the spawns are not to be moved. An extra minute if at some point they change it so that defenders are closer.

Nope.

This would simply make the game TDM. Especially considering you can capture a zone in 5 seconds, defends HAVE to rush.

How does a delayed spawn timer (a feature currently in game) make the game TDM?

And in case theres any confusion (although I doubt it based off reactions) the point of the defenders spawn limit is purely to prevent suicide rush defenses (not agressive defense) and suicide plane spam. This ticket number should reflect that if it were implemented.

“Suicide rush” is a valid tactic - the onus in invasion is on the invader - get over it.

It is comically easy for allies to win D-Day provided you aren’t actually clueless in the current iteration of the game.

Capturing takes about 5 seconds, delaying defenders more would make it even more of a steamroll for allies provided again, that they aren’t clueless. The allies on D-day can shut down ger airforce easily, a P38 can shut down any 110 fast, the 110 cannot win, the P38 is simply a better plane, the 110 is just better at nuking ground things, but then again, even bolt actions can put it down.

Add the Jumbo to that, which BTW has no place being in normandy because IT WAS NEVER ACTUALLY IN NORMANDY YET IT’S STILL HERE FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON!

And the M2 which is practically the best weapon.

M2? the carbine with the full auto?

I agree that the allies have an advantage at winning D-Day. They pretty much win every match they don’t just rush head on into machine guns. I get your point, I just don’t like the idea of a defender to get rewarded for getting squad wiped every minute because if thats the case thats all D-Day will devolve into. A meat grinder with both sides rushing each other making it pretty much a TDM. That’s my view on it and why I suggested this.

I don’t like the idea of Allies having nearly every advantage in the book either, yet here we are.

Yet hilariously if you listen to the forums the Allies on Normandy are woefully underpowered and they get stomped every match and need a massive buff
Its the player skill (and not the weapons) that is definitely lacking when it comes to the allies

I came out of a match earlier where I repeatedly wiped their team with the 110, infantry and tanks alike. Not one person ever tried to shoot me down the entire time.

Allies have a ridiculous amount of advantages, they already steamroll if both teams are of equal skill, the problem is germans tend to be better players.

So as I said above, no sort of limitation should happen for defenders at any point.

hard to beat time traveling troops picking the best equipment from the entire war.

But there is a spawn limit - the end game stars when defenders get to 0 respawns left - the attackers then have 1 minute to make some progress - ie to start caping a zone - the countdown starts at 60s…

So you idea is based on false premise.
