If you come in with an american plane and strafe the AO then anyone spawning in with a plane is IMMEDIATELY on your ass. I have continually killed the last of a squad on a rocket run only to have that person shoot me out of the sky 3-5 seconds later. By spawning planes say 4000m back from spawn it can allow for someone to strafe and possibly prepare more for aerial combat. this will allow for more strategy in dogfights as well because good pilots are less likely to get jumped by some noob on a kamakaze run. Its a small change that can have a majorly positive impact on the aerial aspects of this game. Might also increase incentive to push for AA guns with engineers etc.
Hello. I have made a thread with a fix to that issue without any need on moving plane spawns.
I second that for a different reason, It gets very boring on the first wave to spawn run towards point lose whole squad to plane bombing you, you have no choice but to run sideways away from the start and objective to avoid this full team kill. by which point the enemy are now on the point. Usually followed by volleys of artillery to finish off anyone who survived the plane attack. Anyone left standing cant see squat and are easy pickingsā¦all games pretty much start like this, it sucks a lot.
Plane spawns should be moved, tbh. Spawn line would not prevent the plane from getting early kills, or chain kills, or suicide bombs at the start. If the plane spawn is moved, then suicide bombing is punished quite heavily as it takes much longer to complete.
plus it is a much better solution than a spawn delay
