No qualms soviets getting more unique weapons, BUT literally the best way is to have customisable paratroopers, and get unique weapons from event/battle pass.
Then you can use whatever, whenever, where ever. The gift that keeps on giving

Yeah the things I claimed back then weren’t the true reasons to why I think it sucks playing as Soviets, it’s just more so other teammates I get stuck with when I solo are what prompt my suffering and losses.

With all due respect, I would rather have ONE fully interchangeable paratrooper squad that I can arm with “ANY SMG” I want, instead of having three or four armed with whatever “UNIQUE” crappy “POS” subpar smg the Dev’s in their infinite wisdom allowed other faction players to have.
I guess however that you can complain that your fully weapons interchangeable paratroopers aren’t sporting full body armor. 
When the Dev’s give all other factions fully interchangeable weapons and full body armor, I might try to feel your pain. 
300+ replies, it’s clear we’re all bored. As a good FTP player, I don’t really care which nation gets content as long as it’s free. Currently, I log in to play the Daily Pass and then go play another game. The devs don’t care about either side.

You know, I very often times agree with your opinion, Deckard. But this post of yours is an exception. I have no beef with you. I used to browse the RU forum quite a lot before doing a forum account and I’d see your name come up there, while reading threads. It’s nice to see you in this side of the forum more often. I’m also a huge Blade Runner fan, the original 1982 one.
Yet I don’t agree that a fully customizable one is somehow worst than a gimmick weapon that you can’t change. And I could name a myriad of reasons why, but I won’t bother. I buy all my squads wisely, as I consider myself a very smart spender for not saying frugal when it comes to videogames. And the first Enlisted squad I ever bought was the Soviet one. It’s probably the best squad in the entire game, and the one I’d always recommend to every player wanting to play Soviets and get a premium squad that’s actually worth their money. I can slap a PPD BraMit on the squad leader and he goes to town with it when I want flavor, or a low level smg when I want something more ‘chill’.
Or a PPSH-41 when I feel like roleplaying this awesome picture.
I think the original post you made is probably just a joke which was missed in translation. And I don’t say that as an offense, as English is not my first language either, and it’s not easy identifying humor through text only, at first glance. I just don’t see your reasoning there making sense.
