Not quite, but I spent a LOT of time perfecting weapons for 3 of my Axis campaigns.
I’m 27 in Normandy Allies, but I’m struggling to stay engaged playing them (far from bad at them, just bored), 21 Soviet Berlin, 20 for Allies Tunisia (more fun than Normandy for me).
I am excited for Stalingrad. I’ll probably spend all my time there till I am maxed on all squads.
Of course if they add levels to Berlin…and the STG44 is part of it…that may change.

You ever going to finish that last achievement? I knew you’d come back.
It is quite easy to reach highest level, but end game is maxing out your squads and vehicles, now the latter takes much more time, especially planes!
Why do you accumulate gold orders instead of using them? 
well if they add stg45 I will probably take it with a king tiger 2, the problem is not that I don’t want to use them but the current free vehicles are superior / equal to the current gold ones

Moscow: gold t50
Tunisia: gold pz3
Berlin: gold panther & gold t34 85
Normandy: (I don’t know I just use light vehicles there)
As for weapons there’s a lot of valid gold order choices, like g43kurz, pavessi in Tunisia (the ONLY semi being worth it in game, having 15 dam)…
I just buy every other when next bp happens
