First, it is possible for you to make a great game, one of the best WW2 game BUT only if the game features were good and that is not the case.
The AI is sooooooo bad. They don’t move when getting shot and everyone just look at eachother dying and that is just stupid. You can really be ashamed by your AI. Seriously.
Why can’t we place our men one by one? It would help a little compensating the really bad AI.
Why our orders are cancelled because we are too far? This is stupid too.
The map rotation is stupid too: 8 games and it only gave me the choice between the swamp map and the church map (the 9th time made write you this message) but I wanted D DAY so:
Why can’t we choose our map? Is it too difficult to program?
The training system is also sooooo ridiculous: Why when you send 3 soldiers in the academy, only one come back? 2 on the 3 automatically desert on their way back from the academy? This is also stupid.
I know that this part of the economic game system but it won’t make it less stupid (as the free to play system too).
Remove the battle royal exploding shit that make you die when you are not in the “good area” or adjust it. I was behind the enemy line making a great and efficient job BUT “no, you are not in the authorized area so you die” ( imagine a dumb voice) just because of the viable area switch.
A lot of frustrating details that kill the good experience that your game can possibly offer.
I hope that improvements will be made about those even if doubt about it.
I wholeheartedly agree with all of the statements buuuut.
This is probably due to a fairly low player count, hopefully in the future we will at least get a choice between conquest and invasion, a form of matchmaking is also needed as currently if one team has a wallet warrior that dished out 200$ just to buy the jumbo its basically an automatic win if the other team is mostly low levels with little counters.
Probably to many controls for console players unless the make a pop-up selection
While there probably should be map reworks it would be kinda cancerous just to get shot from 200meters away by a guy barely committing to the enemy team, although i think that if you are out of the “zone” instead of just exploding maybe you receive less points
Allowing people to go behind the lines like that ONLY encourages toxic camping. They wont care if they get less points if they can kill many squads with impunity. Especially a competent tank driver.

The AI works for me very well and the Devs have done a great job and they are still improving the AI more and more. Don’t know how you will feel if the enemy AI is killing you instandly everytime.
It’s really hard to find the best compromis.
In some ancient threads someone hinted that it is historically accurate. Soldiers after training weren’t given the option to select where they go/whether they get back to their units, especially in Russia - they went where they were ordered after the possible promotion, so 1/3 rate is actually quite good.
To me the AI of the men isn’t reactive at all but as you said it’s really hard to find the best compromis for that point.
But I would prefer a more dangerous AI than a less dangerous AI (for every player). We would have to play more carrefully. Better to watch my men dies passively. CS GO BOT IA isn’t that bad when you think about it.
Sure about campers, but you won’t last long because you would be spoted very fast. I was having a fucking good Vassili zaïtsev moment (not that far) throwing explosives, shooting and MOVING (not camping because you die anyway) giving time to my side but my BR collar exploded…
It’s not about instakills or how well they shoot. AI was overly competent at sniping through bushes, that’s gone for good. AI (at least two weeks ago) was absolutely loser in close quarters fight, for various reasons a single person could wipe out multiple squads when lucky, partly because they were dumbed down a bit too much.
But apart from that, it’s completely unrealistic that when crossing open fields, your squad stops standing still and shooting like in a fair, without actively using obstacles for cover. Also when you tell them to defend, give them a pointer and then they go prone, with a huge box right in front of them making it completely impossible for them to see anything. And many other things like occasionally broken pathfinding which makes it less immersive.
They learn, and it will be good to see when they get there that a new player is not immediately able to differentiate between AI squads and average players. For example I have a hard time to tell whether there is AI in lone fighter mode even though several players complain about it - I’m unsure whether I met one at all.
Didn’t say so, but actually I have almost no problem with the academy system, apart from missing a good two-sided GUI for easy squad/soldier/equipment swaps and search, so I don’t have to hunt for my last reserve squad-member soldier’s equipment removal clickety-click.
I’m much more against the weapon upgrades, the complete development tree and the fact that I need to collect tons of guns to get a better one seems so… No-idea-what-to-fill-it-with-ish. Well maybe that’s not a word. But when I saw that I felt like “Hey, I hope they’ll have time to add more ideas to fill this with, there’s lots of free space in this panel to the left, and this one seems plain boring.”
Like a gadget tree, to unlock binocular, camouflage, small but noisy traps, flashlight or colorful smokes.
Or upgrade tree so your engineers will be able to improve the AA gun rotation speed and the width/height/strength of sandbag walls, e.g. adding wooden planks.
Or collecting the medals per soldier and being able to gain influence or cards with them in some other side-game that feels less grindy and can be played while you wait for your next match. A quick solitaire for girls and guns and vodka, whatever. Ok skip this one for next year, after AI is done.
So… yes, there is potential, and much of the game is good already.
