So, let me get this streight, ( current pacific situation + cosmetics )

on top, before you could had used pants of the default squad with some unique upper ( and basically for almost half the price, have at least two torso ). now, you can’t do any of those and you are kinda forced to have both pants and torso despite one might looking worse than the other for only ONE soldier.

My honest to god opinion (which I’ve voiced elsewhere) I think Pacific was an accidental Launch.
I don’t think there was a hunger for money this time. Either someone released it via misunderstanding, or something else, but with the Placeholding weaponry, and other weird oddities.
It just seems odd it was allowed to go to release with some critical stuff not polished or even completed.

My thoughts at least.

Accidental? How it supposed to work?

You can send text to your boss while drunk, by accident.
You don’t build a car or release a 10GB update by accident.

It can happen due to miscommunication.
I’ve seen a telephony company before cut over lines a week early because someone misread the date on an internal communication.

So the phone lines for a 200+ employee company were essentially 'cut and they were devoid of communication until emergency measures had to get put in place.

So yeah, you can accidently do something big if people aren’t on the same page.

The review site I co-own also lifted embargo early twice because of ‘lost in translation’ issues.

So yeah , I think it could very well be possible.

You need to remember. The game files and such were already built and ready it was close. But probably not release ready yet. With all the nuances that existed when it launched.

But if someone screwed up and pushed the upload, you can’t go back on that easily.

Its a guess, but one that I’m hedging in the belief that they wouldn’t release something that still had placeholder weapons and HESCO barriers.

Otherwise I haven’t a clue why they could model so many new guns and yet have the Type 97 as a PTRS, or the Johnson LMG with its mag behind the mag well.

If it was intentional, their QC Assurance team must have been asleep at the wheel.

If you do even a slight amount of googling you will see that accidental releases have occurred before, trust me.

Pacific customization is definitely lacking, Stalingrad customization was better since you had more options. Also the current form of customization should be free (Uniform color, helmets, etc) and a monetized customization should be added in the form of unit patches, insignia, etc.

And the Pacific feels completely rushed. Like they really should have waited atleast 2 more weeks before releasing it.

I support the customization of pants

I decided to check what they cost versus each other out of curiosity.

Right now the most you can spend at once customizing your soldier in Stalingrad is 21 customization tickets/530 gold. In the Pacific you can also spend 21 tickets/530 gold. Since it isn’t cheaper, I guess I would prefer having the greater number of total combination options from the slots being separated. Perhaps this was done because the Pacific wouldn’t have gloves for everyone but they could still effectively charge you for them by combining the price into the torso slot.

yes…

but it’s still worse.

i can’t chose different torso by leaving the pants.

21 tickets in stalingrad does not get me the same thing in the pacific.

because with 21 tickets i can buy either camos gloves or actually more than one torso for at least two soldiers.

in the pacific, only for one soldier.
and i can’t decide what pants to give them.

that’s worse.

If you dig deeper, Japanese faces look more like Kazakhs, Dagestanis, etc. to me. Just the same placeholders taken from the soviets from other campaigns, and put on a mustache.
