Edit some more info:
I both play soviet and german (though I treat german only for earning tickets for soviet, but even with this attitude, german progression is still pretty high)
Second, it’s not players’ fault to gradually reached this current unbalanced situation.
Consider adding dynamic xp reward by actual human ratio inmatch, also, do something to attract more players to play soviet. Like x1.25~x1.5 XP for soviet for a week.
Third, this game’s OBT is not going to happen this year, still a long time for current CBT,a transition period. Do something to the game to hold the players from leaving the game.
By the way, I don’t want to throw my 50USD to the blackhole, and I dont want my dozens of time gone in vain. I’m very sure this game will clear the progression before OBT, so I play this game now for giving suggestion and bug report. If they really dont reset progression, that’s means my time isnt wasted, but my money is wasted.
there aren’t many players. and that is the reality. a real and concrete proof.
because i don’t see any of those people that you mentioned belove this post. nor other people that are not related to the poll that you you made.
dude, dark flow studio is made by less than 200 people. Meaning that they are not like any AAA game. ready to deliver any fixes after a week.
( not even AAA does that sometimes )
this cannot be denied.
rumors, are rumors. nothing is concrete.
but i do understand the worries for the game.
and i do agree that something has to be done. but like cat said;
and i’m gonna quote it:
Best case scenario for XP earned and also to attract players to play both sides is to give EXP for both factions when ‘Join any team’ is used by the player.
Like if you are matched as an Axis player, you get XP for the Axis side and then half that XP for Allies side too.
I’ve tried playing as Soviet a couple of time and it is honestly very frustrating. I played Soviets through the whole alpha test and it is a side that I know very well and I had no issues winning with them even though Germans had an arguably better SMG back then and almost every other weapon was neck and neck and you also did not have the luxury of MG nests and whatnot. So, I do understand the reason for this post but I don’t think there is a lot the devs can do about it rn other than to bring forth incentives that will make players switch sides. Like the suggestion that I mentioned above.
For one I never said my opinion was more than 27 people you’re putting words in my mouth I didn’t say check yourself, and if you would have had more than your personal groupchat than it would of been fine if you took opinions from players you didnt know it would have been fine. I also never said that players in off-peak hours shouldn’t considered this is just another one of your false assumptions i literally asked what time zone you play in i never said off peak hours players shouldn’t be considered . To the bug fixing part i really doubt they spend no time on bug fixing plus of what they probably are doing internally, bug fixing is porbably not as high on their list as implementing other theaters so they are ready to test. They are probably working on those other theaters that are probably not finished and then bug fixing comes later when they are ready to test that is literally what the cbt is for. For one you can easily tell when someone is a bot they have way less kills than everybody, the name is just there so you don’t have a giant tag that says [BOT] .Also win ratios are useless in arguments which are based on a player bases skill which has way to many variables that arent constant and entirely dependant on the players the win ratio does not prove anything other than another player base has gaps in smount of players or less experienced players which is not the games fault and should not warrant changes to the other side or getting a 1.5 or 2 x experience weekend .The Forum exists to bridge the gap between dev and player its not easy and there is no perfect soultion and the forum is far from perfect. For your last part they will monetize anything to make money if it comes to it. Orders, soldiers, weapons, vehicles, theaters all monetizable and enough exist to make “quick money” so i really doubt they’ll leave it unless it proves to be logistally through trial and error and through other ways impossible to launch.
( to be honest, since tomorrow i will be at home, i’ll make 10 soviet matches and see the results )
since i haven’t played this game from days.
this would create more unbalance. but at the same time, soviet life shouldnt be easier with xp boosters… it’s really a complicated situation. because in order for the soviet to be/do good, they need players. and you can’t force people to join one faction.
From what I’ve seen so far, Soviets are losing games due to the lack of players. Germans don’t really stand a chance in a full player vs player squad game due to their inferior weapons and also because Soviets have so much more options as defenders in two of the 3 game modes currently available. But I find German players to be more coordinated and skillful(no offence to the pros out there, just my obs.), therefore the advantages should essentially cancel out atleast for the CBT. The changes can be reverted back to normal once OBT is out.
It benefits both sides equally and no one is forcing anyone to join one side. The choice, play strictly for one side and gain EXP for that side or randomise the choice and gain EXP for both sides. I don’t know about others, I wouldn’t mind using ‘Join any team’ of I can gain EXP for both.
Again, I don’t think these incentives have to carry over to OBT or release version. What I am suggesting is strictly for CBT as not to lose what you would consider a small player base. Especially at this stage of development when you need players to test and spot issues within the game.
I’ve personally stopped playing the game, balance being a minor reason but mostly due to the lack of communication from devs and I find the game very repetitive. But I’ve seen plenty of people dropping out due to unbalance and skewed win rate and ahem…ahem… premium squads.
No way. If winning doesn’t matter, why bother trying to do that when you can just farm points? The game is already full of hopefully unintentional incentives for players to cheese as much as possible. You don’t want that to also be the most effective way to progress.
I thought you typo’d as your sentence wouldn’t make sense otherwise. I thought you ment unbuffing. Because why would their winrate go down if their guns did more damage, making them not two shot?
You realize the only way Russia wins is if they kill enough of the enemy team before they lose every point?
AFKing in a corner on the objective doesn’t win invasion. Pushing ahead and creating a body count so the German team is more concerned with killing you than capping is how you win invasion.
General area denial down the main avenues towards it is best, yeah.
Though in some spots the german spawn wraps around 2 sides of the map so it’s tricky.
I´m not sure what do you mean, perhaps engineers are responsible for it? I often try to build spawn points in flanking possitions but I never really noticed main german spawns literaly wrapping invasion objective like that.
