Should be Day 1 but apparently not

They were holding up to 300 rounds not 250

The Patronenkasten 34 was developed to be a lightweight ammunition box to carry ammunition for the MG34 . It was capable to carry 300 belted 7,92 mm rounds.

That’s not really hurting my point though is it lol I’ve seen 250 personally is why I said that. Either way they had drums higher than 50 we all know it. Sure maybe 100-150 plus was a box instead but I never asked for that specifically

The MG 42 fired a 7.92mm round. With a muzzle velocity of 2,480 feet per second the MG 42’s effective range was nearly 1,100 yards. The gun used a 50-round flexible metal belt feed, or, alternatively, a 75-round snail drum magazine. A full 50-round belt of ammo would be depleted in a 21/2-second burst; the 75 round drum in 31/2 seconds. To permit longer fire bursts, MG 42 crews normally linked together several 50 round belts. Ammunition boxes (weighing 22 pounds each) held five separate belts totaling 250 rounds per box. A good crew could shoot 250 rounds in 12½ seconds of continuous fire,

This is literally the type of thing I’m sourcing and the actual limits of how high the round count are is negligible after a point for gameplay purposes

But that’s the thing - and you said it yourself, 250 round boxes were impossible to be used on the move - you had a MG crew for this - one guy carrying the gun, the other the ammo.

Well I don’t really know how the Conders works, but its a 9mm belt (9x19), so the ammo is tiny compared to 8mm Mauser (7.92 x 57), also the RPD has its ammo going for it - it shoots AK rounds (7.62 x 39), much smaller than mosin rounds (7.62 x 54r).

Personally I think the RPD is broken - but for a different reason, MGs use rifle rounds, but as a compromise for their massive DPS they just barely dont kill in one shot - the RPD obviously also doesn’t because it used intermediate cartridges, but it also doesn’t suffer movement penalties because of it.

So it only gets benefits from its weaker ammo.

Well, since we already have handheld 52kg 20mm AT cannon for Japanese… xDDD

I’d rather make it an attachment like bayonets, scopes and grenade launchers. Otherwise it’s just artificial split of two identical guns.

Also this would allow players to switch between long and short belt in the battle (the same way you attach and detach grenade launcher). Imo this would be super cool.

I have more anger and frustration over watching our spawn points mysteriously turning grey and sitting their helplessly while while the enemy takes the final control point almost totally unopposed. Or in the last few closing seconds of the battle, your winning and all your spawn points mysteriously get moved back 10 km so there is no chance in hell of reaching the control point. My rant, but I am sure it’s not over. I love this game, but the stupid shit just accumulates and seems to never get fixed. But as I always say, there is no money in fixing stupid shit.

And about the Stinger, I have two, but never put them in the same squad.

Very very very true

Well, actually these kind of super heavy guns could just as well be engineer build emplacements and it would be even cool so to speak.

AT rifles are kinda trash anyways, so moving them wouldn’t hurt all that much.

Which is why I didn’t ask for that but instead the 75 or 100 rounds drums. As can be seen from reading the link it was very common and easy for those outfitted MG-42s to be used by a single man.

We don’t need 250 rounds per reload. There is factual evidence and videos etc etc that back up what I’m saying. Idk what kind of research DF did into “realism” but they dropped the ball obviously.

Well to be fair nobody but conders knows how the in game version actually worked. I more or less though meant the usability of it in debate with people saying how awkward a belt fed MG is in the field. Meanwhile they have no problem with a never used prototype gun doing the same simply cause it uses 9mm pistol instead of 8mm rifle rounds.

I hate to say it but that conders was probably jam happy as hell in real life. A smaller belt getting sucked up at the same speed through smaller parts… all with German engineering lol I’m sure it would’ve went flawlessly for them. It’s fine to have all that strapped around you but historically accurate Hanz with an MG is SoL. Seems counterintuitive a bit doesn’t it? Almost like it hurts your logic receptors physically

As I do with most of my unique weapons. Dudes running 4 of them though like we can see what you’re trying to do and it’s pretty lame. Just help make a better environment for all of us. Having the right and ability to do something doesn’t mean you have to or should. Toxicity breeds toxicity and at a point that’s what this becomes

There’s plenty of room for growth attachment wise and I’m part of that boat I just think it’s not quite the time for that when basically it’s just bayonets atm and other problems are so much more prevelant

Adding in other attachments after patching in the slot for other weapons could cause some serious issues we haven’t run into yet. Imagine a bayonet with a wonked up attachment mesh on a long rifle. I forget which game but one tac shooter had this issue and it turned bolt actions basically into scythes for a bit

Not pretty

So, telling you I have two stingers and I never put them in the same squad is toxic? Go find your safe space in your mommies basement if you think that is toxic, you’re up way past your bedtime.

you dont need to be that harsh, there are rants much worse than this.

plus he does know.

like a certain bird rant?

No I’m saying what you do is exactly how I do it I’m not sure how it got misconstrued but it’s the internet so yeah. Just go back and read again man you’ll see what I mean lol also I’m a 32 yo homeowner and fyi my mom doesn’t have a basement my parents were section 8 I busted my ass for everything I have :ok_hand:

I just try to meter myself cause this is an international space technically. My ways and phrases may come across as pitchfork and torches to some while others see rainbows and butterflies. As I’m an American I’m sure you understand why I have to try to be this way since not giving a fuck doesn’t translate well in most places and I actually like it here

Grenade launchers work fine so much simpler animation of reloading shouldn’t be an issue. I don’t see any reason not to implement this feature (maybe except the cost in development time).

I understand your frustration, and I get frustration over MANY things in this game, and for the record, I was not trying to be sarcastic when I said I never use both my stingers in one squad, as it seems to me to be a waste to use them together. Besides, with the Browning 1919A6, I can still put down a good field of lead, just not at as fast a rate as the Stinger. In fact, of the 50 kill streak without dying personal objective I have 36, and all 36 were done with the Browning 1919A6. If you look, you will see I have a few rant posts myself. :innocent:

As far as the safe space and mommie’s basement, that was a sarcastic joke. :slightly_smiling_face: I’m 60, retired from the US now living in the Philippines, but getting old and senile, but I finally understand why old people seem so cranky all the time. :joy:
