Shotguns NEED a buff

Well that’s true, but limited in comparison to rifles. You shouldn’t be able to snipe people with your M1912.

You know there is a difference between buckshot and birdshot?

Yeah, but in the scaled of enlisted matches isnt that so limited.

Buckshot is to kill a man, birdshot is to wound him (also for birds).

Doesn’t make difference in the matter of limited range. I used this example because we have duck moderator here.

Ah true, the nemesis of the mighty duck obviously has to have low performance, it all makes sense now.

What you’re asking for is a short barrel shotgun technically we can replace the knife with that slot

Personally I like using the shotguns in Enlisted a lot. I really wish they would let them be used on engineers.

That said, I think they are fine as they are. They aren’t intended to be used at longer ranges, that is what your bolt-actions are for. However, they give a bit more leniency on medium and short ranges, which works well.

Add obturator and duckbill

Would be interesting if you could equip a sawed off or Ithaca 37 in your pistol slot, although I’m wondering if that would get out of hand.

Maybe it could be similar to pistol slots, where you have to choose between the two in squad upgrades.

If they’re gonna add such things I have an idea to fix that get rid of the pistol and your melee weapon then you can have a side shotgun and a rifle

Maybe, I like having sidearms, it would just be interesting to see different choices like that.

But I fear allowing a shotgun in every soldier might be chaotic as it would give every soldier CQC capability.

I don’t see a problem giving snipers the ability to defend themselves is a great thing in my eyes if I have to give up my pistol and my melee weapon fair trade

Exactly what I’m saying. I think it should be an option in the squad upgrade menu and it can only be done to certain classes, like snipers. So players would have to choose between carrying a pistol or a small shotgun as their sidearm.

I don’t think all soldiers should have the same option.

… They DO have the ability to defend themselves though. Sidearms, melee, and AP mines.

For this to be the case, they would need to make the sidearms able to be used when DBNO, to defend yourself as you crawl to heal.

I think they mean when your position is discovered, not all of us can whip around an no scope.

Agreed, although what does DBNO stand for? Is that just when you’re downed in game?

Down But Not Out

Allowing smgs or shotguns on combat engineers if they are added would be great.

If you did make shotguns realistic there wouldn’t actually be much of a place for them. Shotguns in games usually fill the archetype of close-range one-shot kill, but bolt-actions can do that already and giving shotguns a tighter spread would make them about as effective as a bolt-action in close quarters. A realistic shotgun in a somewhat realistic war shooter is realistically underpowered. There’s a reason shotguns aren’t really mass-issue weapons, an SMG or a rifle would be better in nearly every situation.

But they are my brother is a combat engineer in the marine corps and he is the one in his squad that use shotguns for breaching buildings and obviously it is good at what it does, or they would not be using Benelli’s
