Yep, i agree that the Xp amount could be a littlebit higher. But keep up the good work cleaning the sky. Providing a bomb free match is good teamplay i much appreciate.
Thatās true. I fly the IL2 and a 109 closed on me with high speed and snapped my wings. He was a good pilot and used proper boomānāzoom approach. But even without killing the IL2 a Messer can easily force it to abort its bombing run.
The Henschel on the other hand has little chance against the Sturmovik - but these mostly flown by newbie pilots.
Playing both factions on Moscow more or less forced me to try and fight IL-2s in a Henschel. It has a huge mobility advantage over it, and I conserve my ammo and target only a single wing. Even with just a heavily damaged, unbroken wing, an IL-2 will be hard to fly and can start sinking if other places are damaged.
My tip if you want to be an active AA gunner is to build spawn points and some other goodies for the troops first then work yourself to an good spot where you both can work as an AA and AT gunner at once. Or even MG if youre able. Set up an small base of support fire so to speak.
But for the love of Enlisted dont forget to de assemble your stuff especially the AA gun if youre being pushed back or you know it will be taken over sooner or later⦠This since the enemy loves to use that AA gun against your team but also since your squad can only build certain amount of them to
pretty much this, camping behind the frontlines and literally waiting for planes to ācome byā is such a huge waste of time, however fulfilling multiple support roles at once can be very helpful.
Some might say that 4x20mm fire support provided on soft ground targets when thereās no enemy plane could be quite helpful as well from time to time.
Agreed, they are only really usable reactively when you know that the enemy team has an active air force.
I would disagree a bit. There arent many things, other than being an engineer of course, that would even equate to anti-air which is a team role I think very few people take on because of their low point pay out. Compare it to any other vehicle class and itās point gains are very underwhelming unless you are an Ace Pilot.
Now to sit as Anti-air while nothing is happening, then I can agree.
Agreed, they sit at an okay rate for now but they should definitely be higher, especially against bombers, considering the damage they can do to your team.
As per what you can clearly determine on your own alongside with everyone here : Planes are still in the works with upcoming bombing raids, AI gunners etc which is indirectly related to your raised dilema. Iām sure some numbers will be tweaked in accordance to such chain of additions/changes.
It already does

Against Henschels I usually do a simple ascending turn - usually they attack me without altitude advantage, and although they can keep turning with me easily at one point they bleed their speed and go stall and thatās when I go after them.
But against in the hands of an experienced pilot that biplane could be a useful weapon - it can turn on a dime.
Exactly. Each plane has itās own strengths over another.
