Not at all. The chosen mechanics in warthunder have always heavily favoured USSRs strengths from the ground up
Theres a reason USSR reputation is = “hold W and win or stalinium”
- Angled armor = troll armor (After that ERA takes over)
- Excessive HE filler = huge benefit
- USSR ammunition extra perk = better pen vs angled armor
- many UFO flight models (the 1-153 has biggest noob stomper forever)
- less fire chance in the code
Its so user friendly it breeds lazy players (its so funny watching guys that spend all day holding W in their KV-1 and T-34 when they come face to face with a captured KV-1/T-34…no idea what to do and get plastered)
U.K is the red headed step child in warthunder. Their best equipment/ammunition gets added (or not at all) heavily nerfed because it would be “too OP”. But instead of making it at least equal with the current best in class, it gets nerfed to require large skill requirement (brimstone missle addition took the cake)…so only those that know what they are doing stick with it
I used to be a USSR main in all games (loved them in sudden strike)…until i played gaijin games and they ruined it for me. I still summon the urge to play them from time to time, but my mates that played with me from the start (10 plus years ago) straight up refuse to touch USSR at all. And now they carry that prejudice into all games. Wanna play as USSR?..“noooope”

Not untill christmas. The hack that deleted data is giving devs issues. They wont risk updata untill they can find the bug and fix. Right now they dont have that level of dev that can do it timelly.
PSA: The “Scorching Rays” update is being rolled out, please be patient!
As always, the patchnotes will be released once the update is out and working on all platforms. It might take 30-90 mins (based on platforms), so if you can’t see the update or the game says there is one, but you can’t download it yet, please be patient and check again in 5-10 mins.
