The poll showed that the majority don’t consider Pz II OP and requiring a nerf. And MP-41 affects only the premium players and most testers don’t care about what happens about them. It’s the people who own the packs that’s been complaining about MP-41s.
The LMG on the other hand is available for everyone. Any imbalance will lead to this game dying faster than it is now.
Also, DP was part of the game in alpha and was too good. Which could explain why it got replaced by Madsen.

The problem with replacing it with the BAR is balance. The Madsen is balanced well, while the BAR has much worse ammo capacity and much better weight. It would be a wildly different weapon.
DP is not a poor MG, it was a good and reliable LMG during the war. DP was a good gun compared to what americans and british used BUT germans were the kings of building MGs. MG42 is still produced today by the name of MG3. The only problem was that all german MGs were very heavy and stuff like BAR and DP were much better when held in hands and soldiers could use them while standing. All german MGs (even LMGs like MG13) had to be mounted on a bipod or soldier had to lie down to use it

thats BS. Of course, Soviet side isn’t going to vote in big way on English forums. So these votes are kinda meaningless. Actually, shows how OP German side is - it gets so many votes for nerfs, even on English side servers.

Same poll was posted on Russian forums. Funny thing is that they seem to be even more germanized than English forums. More than 50 votes and 46% voted that PzII needs no change (42% in summary for nerf). Here we have 41% for no change and 56% in summary for nerfing PzII

still totally not an indicator. This is like thursday forum topic, whatever. Nobody comes here anyway. Obviously getting high enough votes anyway. I don’t understand how Pz2 is NOT OP. Crew 4 - more than ANY soviet tank. Perfect Machine guns, for these maps. Nice sights. Fast. Goodness at level 1. How is that NOT op?
Outperforms on any aspect, against anything Soviets have. Only thing that has half a chance is BT-7, which is level 12 unlock.

I think this was brought up before, but a bren might make more sense than a madsen or a BAR.
Though I know very little about Soviet infantry weapons apart from SMG production.

Well they did get Bren’s as part of LL… I’ve not been able to find any numbers, but there’s several illustration of Universal carriers in Soviet service with Bren’s fitted - whether or not hte infantry every used any I have no idea…

The whole purpose of the universal carrier is to carry machine guns, mortars, and supplies for infantry.
You’re supposed to take the bren out of it before you use it.
Not necessarily - in Commonwealth service it was often a recce vehicle, and you would fight from it mounted.
when it was used as a carrier for 3" mortars they would dismount to be used, but the Australian 3" version at least also allowed to to be used from inside the vehicle.
Everything smaller could be used from the vehicle - including Bren and Vickers guns, PIAT, Boyes AT rifles and 2" mortars.

It could yes, but it wasn’t the purpose of the carrier, I should have clarified.

No it wasn’t an IFV - it didn’t carry enough infantry for starters!! lol But it was not just a small armoured jeep either.
Many of them were used for transport roles of course - towing, freight, moving small numbers of troops, but it was most definitely expected to be a fighting vehicle and was often primarily employed in roles where it was used as such.
