What allied plane has a bigger area of impact outside of shit like the SB-2M or A-20?

Honestly the RBS rockets they have now are great if you have people marking tanks and I like that change in favor of the larger bombload it had.
The pre buff 250 had to be dropped quite accurately if you wanted it to kill something. Which needs help from teammates. That is not happening. The extra 50s is a big help in this regard.
The IL-2 bombs could be dropped over a larger due their number. Not as effective as a single 250 on a marked target but you are more likely to hit something with the IL-2.
Reducing the bombs on Stuka now will require a ton of other roll backs. That thing struggles to stay in air these days. If it’s load gets worse than IL-2, the least I hope the devs do to compensate is to make its cannon work. Currently it shoots paper balls. And also give back it’s ability to climb so that you have more time to dive and see where you want to drop your single bomb.

That’s absolutely false. Even with 3 250s in Berlin you fly just fine unless you try to climb at an angle greater than 10 degrees same as the IL-2.
The defensive gun if that’s what you’re on about actually worked in the CBT, but it was really aimbotty and I think they’re trying to get that working on their end before re-enabling gunners.
It climbs fine unless you try to go higher than 10 degrees. You also have all the time in the world to climb back to the resupply which is what you should be doing anyways.

I am yet to break the 1000m mark since some changes a while ago. It’s speed, climb, and altitude lost during turns got nerfed a while back. I know you don’t play Moscow buddy.
You are pitching a pure bomber against a very versatile plane that is IL-2. Give it some advantages over the other. For now, it’s the bombs.
Also the Stuka is dead the moment someone decides to take a shot at it. While you can deplete your entire guns on Soviet planes and watch it continue doing its thing.
You are forgetting that you can’t see shit on the ground unless you are on a collision course. You need non-retarded teammates otherwise. Yeah, like that’s going to happen.
You have to climb for awhile in the IL-2 as well to get 1km up.
Honestly everything accelerates like dogshit, so I wouldn’t be surprised if its just that.
I play both, I just gave up on actively grinding Germans because the new stuff doesn’t interest me enough to keep at it after what like six months of only playing Moscow in this game.
The Stuka has the advantage of being an actual dive bomber and not some jury rigged level bomber shitbox with zero visibility.
That’s entirely the new DM change which needs heavy tweaking before we can really make long term judgements on stuff like that.
It’s very easy to bomb with no visibility though? Just remember where people are likely to go and you really don’t have to rely on the dogshit teams for any kind of marks.

Reality check, you don’t seem to understand how hard it is to stay in the sky if you actually have some competition up there. Sure I can get 280 kills and fly until I run out of gas in the A20 if no Germans actually get in a fighter and try to deal with me.
Besides i normally get 100+ kills and 7000 + XP with only infantry and capping as well.
Same with tank, I hardly ever get wiped by bombs, maybe once per match. But I don’t run the usual routes, I make spawn points with engineers and I don’t run like a lemming with my team to my death.
I would like to see a nuclear bomb as well, remember the first was used in ww2 so I think it makes sense. the bombs rn are pretty weak

You think it much per se or think plane bombs need nerfs? Unless one is camping it’s bound to happens. Someone might mark my hidden spawn beacon for aircraft or the like.

My impression was that people complain about being bombed all the time. If it’s ones a match… Like I don’t even…
If the enemy team is actively bombing, I probably die to bombs 5-6 times a match in invasion on average, sometimes even more. Definitely not fun as it currently is.
Which campaign do you play? I had a bad experience with this on Normandy, never bothered me much on Moscow.

like honestly 1 250kg bomb would be fine but, 2 of em is just waayy too much… the 250lb general-purpose bombs would be alright for 2 of em cause the load equals about as much as a single 250kg bomb… but like being able to drop basically Mini Nukes on a battlefield with only like 12 players is just fucked… there’s no other word to describe it… its like using a shotgun to kill a mosquito… sure maybe if the matches were like 25 vs 25 these huge 1000lb bomb loads would make sense but there’s not enough players to justify them in these matches…
It would be better to buff the anti-aircraft gun instead of the nerf planes.
honestly if you ask me personally i would just say scrap the engineers AA/AT cannon and replace them with Medical Crate/Grenade Crate then create a Mechanized Light Vehicle Unit with things like towed heavy guns, a half-track with an AA/AT cannon and a ordnance supply truck.

i would be alright with bombers staying as they are if we got some changes like that so engineers will be able to help their team hold down a point more effectively because they’ll be able to create crates to refill your medkits and grenades as well as regular ammo, and it eliminates the everyone asking for a medic squad discussion because the engineer can create a temporary mobile clinic lol
and then being able to have mobile AA guns on things like half-tracks or a really heavy cannon like the QF 2-pounder/6-pounder/25-pounder vickers cannon being towed by a jeep opens up a whole new level of strategy in the battle that and people running ordnance supply trucks can work together with these heavy guns to keep them supplied with ammo and supply their teammates at capture points so they can hold them better.
in all honesty it feels like this way would be soo much better just because of how realistic each action/function of these units would be, literally towing guns and driving supply’s in, it would feel more like real war.
