Remove daily "once a day" limit from event tasks

With the specialist event ongoing with a similar format as last month’s heavy weapons event, I like this straight forward format of getting rewards by just earning points instead of going through the trouble on doing certain tasks like the Engineer’s Day event(atleast this had 2 days per set of tasks that can be done) but the problem now since the heavy weapons event is that the task can only be done once a day and the event is too long for the amount of rewards.

Its putting me at risk of burnout from the game with the frequency of such events between heavy weapons, engineer’s day and specialist made worse with fears on the changes in the progression system, matchmaking and map pool that nowadays seems to be quiet due to player reaction.

My suggestion is to either go back to the late 2022 format of this kind of event with the 5k battle point tasks minus the gacha like rewards with random unwanted boosters or silver troop orders or increase the daily limit to something like 3 or 9 just like the battle pass. Also it would be better to have more rewards than just dragging the whole event out with days that earn nothing at all but still have to do the daily one as prerequisite to the next reward.

The main thought behind this concept is to get players to play everyday, to make this game more active. Your suggestion would completely annihilate this.

Btw. I don’t know why so many people are so angry about this concept, its not like you need these rewards or you have to complete it. It’s not must have, it’s just bonus.

You could play for like 1/3 of days and you’ll get special mortar. You could play 1/2 of days and get one of event squads for nothing.
If you want everything, yeah. You should show some dedication for this game. If your real situation doesn’t allow this, you shouldn’t be mad about it. These rewards are weak af. It’s just thing for collecters mostly.

I like this concept myself, it’s not problem for me to complete it tho. My GF knows how much I like this game so she respects I waste my time away with it. And I am not working for like 12 hours per day. I guess everyone should find out their priorities by themselves.

Even though you make fair points, I agree with the OP that a daily “mandatory” (for the event) score goal is something that generates increased player activity at first, but also a more widespread burnout in the long run. And, not negligibly, a sensation of unfairness in those who just cannot play daily for whatever reason.

Both had better be avoided for everyone’s good.

Also, consider the following:

  • Compared to the first iteration of this event, the second one already raises daily requirements by 50%;
  • Unlike previous iteration, the “perfect completion” prize isn’t a minor reward, but a golden weapon order, which is arguably THE most valuable “generic” reward in game.

Clear hints that the minds behind the event are obviously testing how high they can dial up the difficulty, with the intended goal of finding the spot where most players “almost” make it, and thus fork out some gold lest all the effort goes wasted.

I see a very typical Gaijin footprint in this. Squeezing money out of frustration, rather than satisfaction. Something that SO FAR was limited to a reasonable extent in Enlisted, but if we let them get away with it, that may no longer be the case in the future.

Moreover, just as important:

Apparently, this kind of event will be more or less permanently running, with a new wave each month.

Permanent event + high daily requirements = stress > fun, and death of relaxed playing.

Mmm, not sure I like that.

Much better.

Also a good idea. Minor rewards could be spread out to avoid “empty” steps, or even better, if in example"15k a day x3" was replaced by “45k within 3 days” there could be no empty steps at all.

I don’t think it would be possible, but still we take your feedback into account, here is answer from keo: The problem with daily events - #30 by 1942786

They still need to keep the game fun for collectors, whales, and those truly dedicated to the game.
And they still need to make it fun for those who can’t play everyday. I loved the event from late 2022 because I cannot play everyday.

Which would kill the game. As such we need to balance.

I would actually suggest a catch up where each day a tier unlocks rather than strictly one per day. I for one am not able to get online and play every day (sometimes I can just log in for the daily reward and log off) due to work, but on my off nights I can be on for hours taking breaks to go make food and such. being able to make up points would be amazing especially to get some of the later rewards.

They should just go back to 10k points and call it a day.

10 / 15k not really much a difference really. Depends on the matches you get.

If you face lots of bomber runs you can easily do the 10k in a single match while 15k is slightly harder to do in a single but I can manage to do 15k in around 3 matches average. Really depends on how much I wanna farm points by going after bombers vs actually trying to win lol
