Yeah is a event gun what do you expect XD for example the Lathi 75 is better than any other BR3 TT LMG because is a BP gun

In short, we know not everyone is a fan of the Ofenrohr in the JP tech tree, and players constantly ask for a native Japanese AT weapon. So, this new weapon is an answer and a solution, and we took this directly from suggestion posts made by players on this forum. It’s high BR (BR IV) specifically to give an extra option for players. This one has a unique skin, HEAT grenades and a shield too.
With this event one having a unique skin and shield and HEAT grenades, it gives us the option of also adding a similar one to the tech tree in future - meaning this event doesn’t “prevent” anything TT-wise from happening, and does still ensure Japan has a few high BR AT gun options available. So, one version with extra benefits will be an event, and another version without said shield or skin or HEAT is a potential future option for the tech tree; giving more choices to players.
We may also adjust some other parts of it so it’d possibly be more different from its event version if we do add it to the tech tree, so they are different to a larger degree, yet it keeps the “choice” for players and their options at high BR.

Exactly because it was such a convenient and cherry-pick friendly system. Players have to struggle a lot, waste their silver in silver boxes and/or buy gold boxes in order to get stuff. Welcome back to Gajin.

Japanese soldiers are built differently
200mm penetration, just like the Ofenrohr.
Why didn’t you introduce this earlier, as a Tech Tree weapon? Forcing the fictional “Japanese” Ofenrohr into the tech tree would be unnecessary.

Yeah but we wanted it in the TT in the place of the current one since all factions having the same BR IV anti tank weapon is not a good solution but overall nice event.

The Japanese Ofenrohr should become a legacy weapon.

Some people (me) are not a fan of the American Ofenrohr copy paste more cus personally I can excuse the Japanese getting their hand on German equipment through althist tech transfer (We have Japanese Tiger I ffs) but Allies getting German copy paste in their tech tree as well doesn’t sit right with me.
