So I am lost as to why we must have the weird USAF decal as the “basic” one also available for ground vehicles and not the simple star or star inside a circle.

That’s clearly not USAF.
star with bar were mostly used on American tanks in 1942 (most commonly yellow variant, but in some rare cases white)
And then later in Pacific.
They hinted at some kind of new system for similar decals. So I hope the more common designs will be available through it. Not limited to events or available for purchase with in-game currency.

I think setting it to reset immediately after reaching 30,000 points per run would be way better than the current tedious waiting system. Looking back at the last Victory Day event, didn’t the rewards get cut by half? Plus the stats of this gun are pretty underwhelming too.
I can’t get over the fact just how bad that new portrait looks I unlocked today.
Many possibly know by now that the soldier is taken from an actual historical propaganda poster and got slightly changed.
The background of the potrait seems to have been taken from a photograph.
Both absolutely DONT fit together. It looks sloppy made and as if someone said to an AI tool “combine this WW2 soviet soldier with this photograph” or like someone with superficial photoshop skills tried to crop and insert one image onto another.
Meanwhile we’ve only got 5 japanese portraits - one of them a fantasy samurai. Soviets have at least 5 times as many.
We also got more chinese portraits by now than italian. And I don’t think it does justice to the part these nations played in this conflict.
I personally don’t care if it’s AI made or by an actual artist or if it’s completely original, inspired by or even taken 100% from a historical picture but the quality needs to get better than this and the distribution between the nations more fair. Whoever is in charge of the portraits should have a talk with the guys from War Thunder: Their BP portraits are always top notch.
That being said we already had some really good portraits in the past in Enlisted which makes it less understandable why we cannot stick to that level of quality.

PLEASE change event formats like this…to get the ISU-152 you need to grind 300k points in 24 days…the Saboteur event was 240k in 30 days, but you could do it at your own pace and recieved 4 squads…half of these levels are unrewarded, it’s very off-putting and WAY to grindy.

I wonder, how much playing does it take to get a 25k stage usually?
I suppose it’s different for everybody and sometimes I wish the required stage was even higher because I reach it too quickly.
The recent raising of the score has been very helpful.
I usually get the 25k stage in about just 4 or 5 battles without trying hard.
4 battles in 2 days is less than I already play without an event, so the 25k event is super easy for me.

The saboteur event format is like the old 5k format it good and convenient for people. I have no problem with 25k but I don’t get why they don’t do these instead of the 2 day gap current format. I guess they really need all that play time.

Got a quick question: Was anyone able to get anything from this event?
I was not able to play a lot due to RL duities and the event requirements were pretty high → too high for me, as I never am able to gain that many points per match (old reflexes and bad eyes), worse was that things reset so I always ended up with 0 points and was unable to even finish a single stage 
For me the “ideal” event one was the past “paratrooper event” (if anyone remembers that one) since that was doable for me (took quite a lot of games but I made it - sad thing is that we are not able to switch out the weapons for that squad as I would have loved to give them the guns they actually used during the event, because I HATE all SMG squads); the “saboteur event” was already a very tough one and I was able to unlock a single of those guys, could never have unlocked another one in that time).

Yep but often takes a fair chunk of my time to unlock stages if you don’t want to pay out gold (fair & reasonable). And by para event I assume the market garden one recently? if so I liked it but reception was mixed. Usually takes me at least 5 ‘good’ matches to complete often closer to 7 or 8 conquest is good for points and Br 4 japan and USSR or Br 3 USA or Germany BR 2. 25K is designed to make us invest time and or gold in the game during event. Watch some para division guides to help get more points if you like SMG’s aren’t even the best/easiest way to get points.
