Reinforcements received: Victory in Europe Day

Yes, regular German infantry and armored divisions would have a tough time dealing with the KV-2, but Germany had the 88mm anti-tank gun, which isn’t available at tier 3 in the game. Therefore, you can’t sacrifice game balance for historical accuracy, maliciously creating a tier gap to profit from it.

Indeed. As long as sovs are well protected, all is how it should be :stuck_out_tongue:

We should now nerf Japanese vehicles too.

Does rate of fire even matter? It has no armor, you know? And no machine gun! The KV-2 has everything. You’re maliciously breaking the game balance.

That’s why we need +0- matchmaker. Panzer 4 e and t28e are just as OP against newbies

Don’t forget to also expand the BR 6 tier. The reason matches at BR 4 and BR 3 feel so awkward right now is the overcrowded battle rating bracket. Transitional vehicles like the KV-85 and VK 3002 simply don’t have a proper place to fit in.

Oh, don’t be ridiculous.
Just look at the ISU-152 being placed at BR 5 right from the start, you can tell what the developers were thinking when deciding this vehicle’s battle rating.
The Il-8 didn’t get moved to BR 3 like the XA-38 either.
There’s clearly bias when it comes to Soviet vehicles.

I barely ever see aircraft like these in matches these days, they’ve just been gathering dust.

The SIG is indeed a big issue. It originally belongs at BR 2.
DF did a really solid job designing it, yet players simply don’t know how to counter it.
What’s more, the game only offers one fixed spawn route for tank respawns. Getting ambushed by this tank means instant death the moment you’re spotted.
This tank could easily be taken out by strafing biplanes, after all.
I’m genuinely confused why so many players are pushing to move it to BR 3.

This German vehicle was originally meant for BR 2 to counter the T-34 and KV series. Down the line, the Brummbar built on the Panzer IV chassis and the Sturmtiger are slated for BR 3.

Where will all these vehicles end up?
I think the Brummbar will definitely go to BR 3, while the Sturmtiger could be placed at BR 4.

That would give a perfect reason to lower the ISU-152’s battle rating. It’s all rather frustrating.

The SU-152 and ISU-152 share the exact same main cannon, the only difference is the lack of an anti-aircraft machine gun on the SU-152.
Now that the ISU-152 is set at BR 4, the SU-152 will surely be placed at BR 3, yet the two vehicles are practically identical in combat performance

well I’ve put up a poll. Go ahead and get more people to join in.
The voting results here are pretty aligned with what you thought. Most players want the SIG moved back to BR2.

You can bring more people to vote. That way, we’ll have stronger leverage when we ask the developers to revert the adjustment.

I’m not, thought.
It took a single day for br to get fixed favorably for the ISU.

  • Which again is a good thing, I’m all for it.

But looking at stuff like marders… how long did it take for marderH to get lowered?
Or mp40 in br3 vs pps42 in br2?
How long in Moscow did axis endure ppsh41 with their top tier beretta(20)?
Etc…

It’s a bit of a trend, here.

It’s making my eyes roll.

It’s just… double standards. It’s why the SIG will most likely remain br3 even though, taking all br factors into consideration among all factions, doesn’t make much sense.

It is what it is.

The STUG II is not the SIG thought?

I poured a lot of effort into laying out facts and reasoning in the forum thread, and finally got 60% of voters to support putting the ISU-152 at BR 3. Yet all those absurd arguments from the Russian forums completely discouraged me. It really upsets me that no one is advocating for the Il-8 to be moved to BR 3, while the XA-38 is already stationed there.

I think part of this stems from lingering anti-Soviet sentiment, and another part comes from DF’s currently inefficient work pace. I’m also disappointed about the SIG II. I miss the days when it could fight free from the suppression of KV tanks and Shermans. Back in the early days, we even had to rely on Marder tank destroyers. That’s why I abandoned Germany’s BR 2 lineup for a while before.

Looking at my current German roster, only the aircraft and StuG III F among my twelve squads are tech tree units; every other one is a premium squad I purchased. Right now our priority is to bide our time. We just need to reason persuasively and make our arguments unarguable.

Soviet players waited three years starting from 2021 for the AVT-20, then another two years to get the AVS-20 with performance comparable to the 422 variant. We ought to stay patient too. The global economic downturn and skyrocketing oil prices are affecting everyone after all.

Oh, well. Hehe, I just wrote that casually. I’ve never known the official English designation of this tank. I only know it’s referred to as SIG and built on the Panzer II chassis.

It needs to be added to a battle pass or in the tech tree. It’s absolutely appalling the fact that I need to grind out this game for the next month to even think about having the opportunity of having a vehicle that is in the war under tech tree.

Okay, I’ve changed my mind. I won’t leave enlisted, but the cloud players in War Thunder have to leave.

Yes it does, very much so, firing a 150mm shell every 10 seconds is extremely powerful

But did you know that the Bison 2 assault gun had absolutely no armor protection? What’s the point of talking about reload time? Did it have machine guns and heavy armor? The Bison 2 didn’t, but the KV-2 did

no but it fires three shells in time it takes kv2 to fire 1 so it’s justified

They never mention that a single Molotov cocktail and grenade could wipe out the entire crew of a Bison 2 assault gun, nor do they mention that the KV-2 couldn’t be penetrated by explosive charges or tank fire. I’d even say the KV-2 was too tough, its firepower too overwhelming, and should be placed in Tier IV.

No!

Because the XA-38 should go to 4 BR, and not the other way around.

I think it’s reasonable for the KV-2 to be placed in Tier IV, because it has heavy armor, machine guns, and a 152mm howitzer, while the Bison 2 only has a 150mm gun and nothing else.
