Because this game is advertisded as historical/realistic. But it also got promoted to the CoD/BF/whatever player base.
We already mentioned 2 AAA games that have unlimited acces to ful auto weapons.
full autos
The game was and IS advertised as historical. I want it to be historical. If you don’t want it to be historical, go find enother game. It’s like complaining that you don’t get the burger in the restaurant advertised as vege restaurant.
You tell me, how? FG42 has more recoil per second, vertical and horizontal, than Bred Model 30(even it should have less). Have you already tried using it(what’s your campaigin level in Normandie?)
Already present
I don’t think it worked that way. Wikipedia says about max. 3 bars in a squad, but feel free to correct me if you have better sources.
Definetely should be a thing, especially as stationary engineer MG, but handheld version would work too.
This game didn’t started as COD and was not advertised as one. He was playing it long before you showed up, so why he should leave and not you?
Decrease M2 recoil.
Split MGs into two groups: “run and gun” and proper LMGs. FG and for example BAR would be in the first group. You can read more about it here:
The M2 should be an SMG, its recoil should be slightly lowered. This would let it be a fast firing close range smg with more stopping power than any other smgs. I’d call that a unique weapon that isn’t worse than other smgs. The FG 42 should be an LMG just like the BAR. They’re both lightweight with 20 round magazines and are designed to be a run and gun style of lmg. The FG 42 pretty much has the exact same stats as the BAR, saying that one can be given to all troops and the other only to gunners makes 0 sense.
FG42 is not a counterpart to Bar. The vertical recoil per second for FG42 is 587.5, and Bar is 380. After -40% veritcal recoil bar could be used like an assult rifle but FG42 cannot. And you still don’t answer me whether you have already tried using it.
It was an Automatic rifle and every infantry squad had access to them with various quantities and tactics. It wasn’t a LMG and that was the 30 caliber Brownings role.
It should be no more limited than anything else and it gets kinda blurry where those lines are. If freaking everyone is running around with FG42’s and Semi-Auto rifles as Germans… I see no reason why everyone can’t run around with BARS, Thompsons, and anything else for that matter.
Objectives and Maps…
Exactly, there where both automatic rifles and a specialist weapons. There is zero sense that an AT specialist would be given BAR or FG42.
There is a magical thing called “balancing” that in game industry means mainly changing stats of a particular item so it’s not useless nor OP.
And it can be done both to M2, FG or anything other that requires it.
And no, I didn’t play M2 nor FG. I don’t have to because I don’t want to nerf / buff them so their stats are irrelevant.
That’s why we want to have FG42 limited. So the lines between classes will not be so blurry.
Ohh, that sounds like all those games we have mentioned.
The thing is, I can find manuals that show BAR deployed and used as an LMG. LIke how it was used early in the war. But I can’t find manuals where everyone in the squad was given BAR or FG42. You clearly prefer later, so why bring any historical stuff into if you don’t care about it?
So you post this without trying any of them?(I assume it since you refuse to answer) I tried M2 carbine once, I picked it from the dead soldier and can be sure that it isn’t OP.
But everyone is fine with the G43? That’s not historic either… The MG42 was so used due to the fact the K98 was the standard weapon. As soon as you start making concessions, the whole game is in play.
I said especially - I meant that engineer MG should 100% be 30 caliber Browning. As far as I’m aware their option to be carried around were limited except M1919A6 version (but again, I’m not an expert)
But handheld version would not be a problem too, I’m completely fine with it being introduced.
why? there were grey areas in the military. u cant be gay and be in military but u can if u dont ask dont tell policy. every nation dabbles in the grey area at some point or another dude u gunna have to get over it
Want to remove or restrict something that you’ve never tried is an arrogance. You should know that.(That’s why I never talk about removing Jumbo)
Where?
Maybe. But I just want to get what I was promised. No more, no less.
u got what was promised u misunderstood. if u dont like it exit stage left
