Regarding the new late-BP looping rewards

It is high time they come up with something because I started playing just a few days prior that update and I would like to have at least basic full squads in other campaigns when there is BP task to play them. I have elite BP but it is not enough and there isn’t even sliver troop order every day.

Seriously? People complain that free players get too little silver, and the answer is actually a nerf to the silver earnings of paying players, as well as smoke and mirrors to make it look like a good thing for everyone?

I have also noted a nerf to the perks ‘lottery’ for pilots, noticed that there are less ‘pilot’ style perks and more of the infantry style lately? Another attempt to use up your bronze orders… sneaky and underhand practice…

It’s not a nerf, neither for F2P nor for paying customers.
For Elite BP:
Before, we had 2 XP boost tasks and 2 silver order tasks.
Now, we have 2 XP boost tasks and 4 silver order tasks.
So I think now it’s better.

I haven’t checked in game yet, I was alarmed by the OP stating it’s a 25% nerf. I assumed he did the math .

It’s a combination of things.

If you hadn’t done the math to see how this affects daily income, it would appear as if there were now more silver orders available for premium users and free users, since they added silvers to the end of the gree BP where there were only boosters before. A positive change if you don’t look too hard, and arguably a positive one if you’re a free player, because now you get some repeatable silver rewards, even if it is small.

The other thing is the math for paying to stack repeatable XP boosters, which I’ve finally finished refining, but still contains some assumptions.

Scaling BP level cost as best I can figure it without spending money

The math for cost of skipping one campaign, level 1 to level 32, in one shot, stacking boosters before today's changes, including the value of the silver/bronze orders gained based on assumed values for each, and the cost of accomplishing the same by purchasing campaign levels, silver and bronze orders before the recruitment update.

The experience data, and win bonus/battle hero bonus are based on my averages for my recorded game results, it’s all as soviets in berlin, and the math accounts for the increased value of silver rewards for the same percentage boost now vs yesterday.

They made it look like they were adding more silver order rewards, but in fact reduced the rate at which we earn them as shown by OP, while increasing the cost of stacking the boosters. It’s still more worth it than just purchasing the levels/orders, but the $ cost of doing so with the goal of skipping the entire grind and ending up with full squads is closer between the methods now, and the value savings of doing it by stacking boosters was significantly reduced.

Either they were trying to discourage stacking XP boosters, or it’s a cash grab.

I also don’t know if free battlepass players can pay to repeat the levels at the end. Anyone know?

I haven’t paid much attention, only played one game today.
But if I understand this correctly, and I’m someone that doesn’t care about silver, more about XP boosters, wasn’t the frequency of +100% XP boosters beyond BP level 60 reduced by 20%-30% also?
Pre-update it was, silver, silver & booster. Now it’s silver, silver, silver & booster.
Before the update, after 10 cycles of 3 BP rewards (@ 3 tasks each) a player would have earned 10 boosters. Now after 10 cycles, a player earns, depending on where in the cycle you start, 7-8 boosters.

Did I remember correctly? Was it x2 weapon silver, booster, x1 troop silver, booster? 50% boosters ?
If that’s the case, the reduction in BP boosters is 50%
This makes me think that the change was at least partially aimed at players that stacked XP boosters.
The “famous” screenshot of the player with 50 boosters had to purchase 100 levels. Now it would take 200 levels to earn 50 BP boosters

Maybe both. I just checked and the cost per level was reset to 40 gold. Maybe “Whale” bait?

It’s a shame that experience boosters are now given less frequently. Why is it that more silver can only be obtained by sacrificing boosters?
I wish they would have replaced each booster 100% with two 75%

It was 2x Weps, 100% boost, 1x dood, 100% boost, repeat. They’re half as frequent as they used to be, and if you start on a partial cycle, unless I can’t count the minimum number of levels to get 200% is 5, but after that it’s eight levels for every 200%.

Might be. Mine are still sitting at 45/level. If it’s bait for whales, it’s shady. I had to do a lot of digging and math to figure out how much real money I’d have to spend to get the result I was looking for in the spreadsheet, would be more honest if they had an in-game mechanic for buying the levels in bulk, or just sold us boosters since we can already buy silver orders, and bronze weapon orders.

They didn’t really sacrifice boosters for silver, they increased the cost of the boosters and gave us more silver in the deal, but it really only benefits whales. If they’d replaced each 100% booster with 75% ones, and added two more, and only doubled the silver instead of tripled, the math would look like

This

So I think they did what they did to maximize profits from stackable boosters, without costing themselves too much money in the difference between the methods. Stacking BP boosters to skip the grind used to be a HUGE savings, almost wish I’d done it before the change, but now it’s more valuable than just buying the levels and boosters, but the cash cost isn’t much cheaper.

Just logged on, I must have been looking at the gold price cross-eyed, still 75 gold.
My “cousins” level 4 F2P BP rewards did “reset” to level 1. Not sure when the account was created
during the BP season, but if one level was gained each day during the final 35 days of the season,
that account would have earned 19 silver troop orders. So far, 14 earned in 4-5 matches (mainly through achievements)

They actually reduced the number of boosters that a player could earn after BP level 60 by 50%. Booster were half of the rewards before the update, now only 25% of the rewards are boosters and since the days in a season are limited, the total maximum XP boosters that players can earn was halved.

Yup, and the cost of paying to stack them doubled, more or less. It’s although worth pointing out, however, that if you bought a bunch of levels to stack them, you’d end up with more silver orders than you could buy for the same amount of gold, so that’s added value I guess?

They will need to add a batch of new campaign levels every couple of months to keep the veteran players interested. After maxing campaigns, there really is no need for any of those rewards, so without new levels and new toys….why play?

Cuz it’s a fun game, ideally. I played the hell out of Post Scriptum, and there’s no progression in that game at all.

Other stuff I’m learning this morning though, that I didn’t know before. Standard battlepass holders can’t buy battlepass levels, that feature is unlocked by buying Elite, so this change does only good for them. It’d be a pain to grind the BP without elite, but I guess if they’re dedicated enough it’s possible.

For some reason, looking at it now, my BP levels cost 30 each. Had some gold lying around, bought as many levels as I could, went up 30-45-75-125, incrementing after every 7 levels purchased.

Really? Wasńt the starting point 45 gold pre-update? Did your BP reset to 30 after the update from 45 before the update and then you made the purchases?

I bought one level yesterday, and it dropped from 45 to 30, then back up to 45 after one more. Buckled and just spent what I needed to test, and it appears the scale looks like this

I won’t be able to test it better until next battlepass, though

If it was every 7 orders, wouldn’t it be (merging 1 with the 1st stage) 1-7, 8-14, 15-21 & 22-end of BP?
