they were mostly used as logistics with the italians and hungarians actually using them as combat units

But as combat combat unit? Like cav charge kind of thing?
Because we used cav in ww2 but only as a transport for the mounted infantry.

i do think that frindly fire, killcam and kill indicators should be a toggleble options(in custom games), but i still think they shoudl stay in quickplay

yes Italy uses cavalry, in war, to the detriment of what one can think, the cavalry divisions were very mobile and represented a very used military asset in Africa, since the vehicles had many difficulties due to the environmental conditions, even in russia
