That should also explain Bad soldier physics. Darkflow probably doesn’t have money to buy machines to recreate moving animation
These are clearly not motion captured animations.
They most likely are the same animations from CR.
I know CoD used motion capture for a long time but just by looking at those suits, I know darkflow will have to gain a LOT of money to buy them
The actors are more expensive than the MoCap equipment, actually
Why would you want more people joining it in its current state??!!
Well darkflow is panning to go OBT soon so there will be more people soon enough, despite how it will take away Enlisted’s last chance to change itself before OBT to actually keep the people that come in around for long. At this point my expectations of the game are extremely low, having seen the predatory monetization systems, vertical progression without matchmaker, mixed map design (in good/bad terms), bad balance choices (Pz3B and Pz3E being its direct upgrade and historical replacement for example), extremely low player time evaluation (40+ hours for a single rank 5 soldier)
I laid out most of the issues in my thread Why Enlisted will die if nothing changes
But as nothing has changed
Enlisted:
Motion capture mostly copies physics, not looks. If I’m a dev, I would wear that suit by myself
Can you replicate real combat motion, though?
These actors are specialists, having trained with how to get the best results. It would take a lot of time for you to get close to as you would need dozens of attempts until you get a good mocap. Note that even just one slight wiggle in the wrong way can ruin the mocap.
You would also need replica’s of historical equipment like the rifles for the mocap artist to work with.
I know MoCap is much better with specialists but also everything is better than what we have now
This game is not even developed enough to go into alpha, let alone beta. Once a software hits beta, it should have nailed the core mechanics and the focus should be bug testing and fixing. That has never happened with Enlisted. Many of the core aspects of the gameplay like weapons are still missing, and they add new mechanics with every update and end up breaking many of the previous ones in the process.
If this game in its current form gets taken up by an actual FPS player, they most likely won’t enjoy it very much past a couple of weeks. That is not good news for the game.
Also, many of the streamers who were active during twitch drops, don’t even bother now, speaks volumes about this game.
Well of course. The only reason they played is because of the free BT-7 in War Thunder.
Marketing (advertising) is not Gaijin’s strong point, for the other games like Warthunder, crossout… there was never any real advertising, as far as I know. They could change that now with Enlisted. If there is no advertising, there is no game.
They need to get on that!
warthunder ads are all over youtube
they sponsored quite a lot actually
but if you read all the comments, you can see i was wrong because gaijin is just a financer. the real developer is darkflow which is an indie company
YouTube ads are clicked away anyway, without looking at what they are about. I think Gaijin can do it better
Gaijin as a publisher could also advertise, after all Gaijin will earn money through Enlisted too.
They would not advertise a game they publish more than a game they release themselves.
And I did see some good ads that made me genuinely interested in that product, like the “panda cheese” and “old spice” ads.
xenos vs marines is copy of enlisted which is copy of cusiine ?
It is another game being developed by Darkflow, according to sources.
You are absolutely right, being in the FPS community Enlisted has much more potential than War thunder. Enlisted actually has potential to beat BF V and become a popular game. The main question is: ‘‘Does gaijin see that potential or not?’’
In the current state, it does not have such potential. The game really is in a bad state and instead of fixing it, they’re pushing OBT. It really feels like they’re trying to make a quick buck here.
There I see the error, there is still much tu fix and change!
I find it sad, the game has real potential!
