you see ? they said LIKELY , it wasnt 100% info like yeah dudes you are gonna get your progress wiped , just play along like a devl … only thing i ve seen was monetization welcome screen where it said something like ( In case of progression wipe you will get coins back etc )

But I also paid + I invested a lot of time, I enjoy the game and will have enjoy it. But I’m just not behind WIPE. “And you get PAID PREMIUMs SQUADs that you can only buy during CBT” Its does not enough for me.
Well go try play with full default squads in Moscow rn. Have fun in hell. New players will just quit and game will be dead without wipe.
The P2W premium squads you got will already give you a HUGE head start over anyone else and let you roflstomp the average newbie.

because let me tell you. i have been an alpha tester like many others people around here.
and we got our progress wiped 4 times.
the wipe was during the first moscow test, than another wipe has been made after the berlin test, the third wipe came when this game hitted CBT, and now we are going to reach the 4th in about 3 days.
we knew what was going to happen, and we decided to stick because of the game, and the community.
just because you payed, it doesn’t give you the rights to keep all your shiny stuff, as you still have those premium squads that are more than a good starter.
while people that are gonna touch this game in OBT will have no clue. and no equipment.
watch it as a Training for you.
although, i don’t know about you, but i don’t think that if you would be a player that just opened this game ending up facing full maxed out squads it’s going to be fun.
they are going to be the people supporting this game along side us.
so, unless you wanna give them an unpleasent welcoming.
i don’t know what to tell you.

War thunder early testers got things like Tu-2 and some P-39 variants.
Im hoping for something gimmicky that doesn’t break game balance, like a T-26E or maybe a Panzer 4 A.
Premium squads have a lot advantages that are not possible to get without paying. Weapons are ststistics wise better than their free counterparts, premium soldiers come with higher perk capacity than free V lvl soldiers which allows them to come with preequiped all the best perks in the game, squad composition made of 7 automatic meta is the most powerful in current meta (of course they have no engineer or other classes but in gamemodes, where you need to capture points to win, SMGs and LMGs are way to go)

I agree with all of you that WIPE is the only thing that will help new players. But I’m also just a player who just wants from develpores to thank you for playing while the game was in its CBT state and needed paid support.
Just like if you pre-order a Tesla cybertruck you get a 4x4 buggy.

its not easy to say what is exactly best for everyone , surely there are players who spent their money on only one smg squad ( and nothing else ) since back in the day you just had to buy one such to participate in game … even when such player wouldnt get his progress wiped, stil there will be some other player that paid for all of the squads and then what ? he is more OP than regular player and will be forever ? since you can get more squads to battle for premium players, there is gap between those who also pay and those who paid once,

Which is the reason why we have been asking for the removal of more squads in battle, as well as nerfing the premium squads to be less OP.

yeah well balancing of the game is still in progression as you know all too well … some people complains that in russia , the german mp41 squad is OP , but just take a look at the ppd 34 … it behaves like chaingun , without any kind of malfunction and russian do get this gun pretty much immediatly. meanwhile germans get mp28 and its rubbish until you upgrade it to max … so this topic will still be hot
PPD has worse damage at longer distances, making it a sidegrade.
It also has more recoil in full auto per second (not per shot but higher rate of fire makes it kick harder)
And you also have to reload the box one quite often due to the small mag.
MP41, however, has no downsides compared to MP40.
