Indeed, this is quite thought-provoking. What’s more, we even have lead aiming reticles when shooting down aircraft.
On the bright side, players have to give up one regular tank slot to deploy these anti-air vehicles, which is a kind of trade-off. I think they are well worth getting just based on their appearance.
What matters more is whether these AA vehicles will be exclusive to high-tier squads just like paratroopers. After all, there are plenty of such anti-aircraft vehicles available for the European theatre.
Maybe it’s just me, but these vehicles seem counterproductive for a team.
AA is nice, but both Skink and Kugelblitz take up a tank slot.
On a team level: isn’t it better for a team to spawn a Panzer IV that can destroy enemy tanks and infantry support, instead of AA tank when they could have an engineer squad build AA or better yet, spawn a fighter plane to deal with enemy aircraft?
I would say that BR3 is way too high for a tank with just 30mm cannons…
AA is just an added benefit, the main role of the tanks is still infantry support and hunting down enemy tanks.
Not at all depends AA vehicles are much better then building AA gun since they are mobile and now this are closed top so no more HE dying and the bombs are bugged and will be hard to destroy them so they will be very good addition against jets sadly its game over for all other planes. Buildable AA guns normally can be killed by rocket or HE spam from aircraft but this things now will be very hard to deal with.
The maps are super small how fast they fly dont matter position yourself good to a contested point and the jet will come on its own. If they take it its good enough to relocate and you cant do this with buildable AA gun. Then it takes time to build a new one. Kugelblitz and a King Tiger will be amazing combination now at BR V for Germany. Specially if you play with a friend you can make team against everything.
This is a 30mm×2, not a single 30mm cannon. It uses an MK103 cannon, and 30mm cannon damage is devastating to planes. All the planes at levels 2-3-4 are prop planes - how are plane players supposed to play then?
