The easiest way they can do it is just add them in an older level, and if the player is past that, it autocompletes. If they really need the player to grind for it, they’d have to account for the xp going into that level before the current level they’re at. Shovels and Customization should not be hard to implement, as the latter is already planned to be implemented

Eh no! Is not simple like this

In my opinion, battles with “Balanced” armored vehicles will be as follows: (I’m not familiar with US tanks so there may have mistake)

  • Shanghai-Nanjing campaign, 1936-37

    • JP: Type 89 I-Go
    • CN: Vickers 6-ton (w/47mm), Panzer I
      • Tanks are well balanced. In addition, both army had various armored cars with HMG.
  • Malaya campaign, 1941-42 (Operation E [JP])

    • JP: Type 95 Ha-Go & Type 97 Chi-Ha (w/57mm)
    • UK: M3 Stuart
      • Mighty Stuart tank is terrible enemy for Japanese tanks, but it’s still better than Sherman.
  • Philippines campaign, 1941-42 (Operation M [JP])

    • JP: Type 89 I-Go, Type 95 Ha-Go, Type 97 Chi-Ha (w/57mm) and Type 97 Chi-Ha (w/47mm)
    • US: M3 Stuart and M3 GMC
      • Modified Chi-Ha’s Type 1 47 mm cannon can penetrate armor of M3 Stuart! In addition, Japanese used “the best Japanese tank”, M3 Stuart captured from the enemy.
  • Philippines 1944-45 (Operation Victory [JP] / Operation Musketeer [US])

    • JP: M3 Stuart, Type 89 I-Go, Type 95 Ha-Go, Type 97 Chi-Ha (w/57mm), Type 97 Chi-Ha (w/47mm), Type 1 Ho-Ni I, Type 1 Ho-Ni II, Type 4 Ho-Ro
    • US: M5 Stuart, M4 Sherman, M8 HMC, M10 GMC, M18 GMC
      • In this battle, Japanese used various tank destroyers which is able to destroy M4 Sherman.
      • American SPGs are not well-protected and Japanese tanks can destroy them.
      • Note: All Ho-Ni II (tank destroyer with 105mm gun) sent to Philippines were lost by bombing during transportation.

Pacific sounds like a must-have. It’s the last major theater not covered in the game.

Personally I hope we see a ‘Greater Pacific’ campaign where the Japanese fight vs Chinese in Mainland China, vs the Brits in Singapore, vs the Americans in island hopping and vs the Russians in Manchuria/Korea.
Would be cool if the devs could pull off a campaign like that, it could really make it stand out.

However, I strongly believe that before we add any new canpaigns we need “play any campaign, any faction” matchmaking option with XP boost to keep the playerbase healthy and human.

If you are going to do the Philippines, you can start smaller with the M8 greyhound against the Ha Go. From there, you can match the I-Go and Chi-Ha against LVT variants, Stuart against Chi-Ha Kai, then the SPGs and finally match the M4a1 against perhaps something like the Chi-Nu at level 40 or something if the Sherman is a must.

About some of the smaller campaigns or early pacific campaigns, like Shanghai and Singapore, current political issues aside I don’t know if the devs can get 40 levels out of them. I think Burma, the Philippines and Okinawa are the most likely campaigns, as they come at the end of the war where there is enough stuff to add for 40 levels.

I doubt for Burma and Okinawa because Japanese didn’t have enough armored vehicles but I agree for other opinions

Well the British didn’t really field their best in Burma their either, so if we forgo the Sherman the best tanks would be the Valentine and the Grant/Lee, both of which shouldn’t be too unbalanced against the Japanese tanks.

I thought Grant etc are too powerful against Japanese…

Well. Ve heard that the Grant is (still) OP despite the Panzer IV F2 and the Granatbüchste… I cant image how OP it would be against the Japs then.

It’s not perfect, but the 47mm should have no issue with it.

It’s only OP because Tunisia Axis doesn’t have a playerbase, and no one has any of that stuff. In the Pacific where people are not fatigued with having to play the Germans for the umpteenth time, players will more likely have access to whatever counters the Japanese get, that be the Anti-Tank guns or higher level tanks.
