Got news for you, same shit with the Tanks…I kill a tank, turn around and there is another tank spawning. How bout, lets just eliminate both from the game.
Plus lets not forget that for the most part a plane bomb in this game cannot penetrate any kind of roof material in this game, so if your worried about planes attacking, just stay inside, under a roof is a safe space against bombs and strafing bullets. If your outside, sure, the planes drop bombs, if your inside they become nerf balls.
These are two completely different things. CAS is a much greater threat than infantry, and common sense suggests that aircraft should cost far more than infantry.
For tanks, you can easily kill them before they get in position and fire.

HVAR isn’t even the point, as an anyfaction player, plane spammers can be found in all factions.
The problem is that CAS in Enlisted is much more efficient than in air combat. If you are team oriented, people will just choose fighters with more payload instead of fighters for air combat.

Unfortunately the resident forum dwellers will always ignore this because it’s the strategies they rely on to get kills. The facts of the matter are
shooting down planes does nothing to prevent another one from immediately spawning. The same principle applies to Greyzone tank campers. This means vehicles have no actual counterplay that actually works.
rockets can be deployed outside of AA Lead range, and a majority of the playerbase isn’t good enough to engage without it
The entire vehicle gameplay loop heavily rewards minimal skill. Pressing R/space every couple minutes or sitting stationary and clicking rmb to delete entire squads is the lowest level of effort
Vehicles should be high-risk, high-reward. Currently they are minimal-risk, zero-reward spammable squad wipe buttons. There needs to be some sort of penalty to dying in a vehicle that can equally impact both defender and attacker teams. Darkflow won’t impose one, because the people that need the crutch vehicles provide will cope (you already see it between Adam and Flag’s posts), but it’s killing their game. I’ve had multiple friends I’ve tried to get into the game, and they quit because every low BR game is people cycling PZIIINs in the Grey Zone. Playing against US BR 5 is just a TBI simulator with the amount of headshake from rockets planes, rocket tanks, normal tanks, arty, and bombs.

I know a way of implementing some features from strategy games that could mitigate this, but who am I kidding? that won’t sell squad slots.
Some people don’t like planes, so lets restrict planes.
Some people don’t like tanks, so lets restrict tanks.
I hate the endless barrage of Artillery, so lets restrict the artillery

I guess we have seen with the AP mines that if people whine long enough, some sap at DF might listen. There are so many things wrong with this game, but tanks and planes are not where I would start. Contrary to those who seek to restrict planes, planes need a buff because at the moment, their bombs couldn’t penetrate a sheet of saran wrap if it were a roof. But yeah, lets further restrict them.
I do like planes, that’s why I spent almost whole battle of time on fighter.
So my appeal is more like buff aircombat and nerf CAS gameplay.
Fighter are too weak, it should be reasonable if you got skill than you can lockdown the sky.
Rather than endlessly fighting against revenger.
The current punishment mechanism has serious problems
The rules should be reversed
The aircraft player will only be punished if attacked
Normal players will find cover so there is no need to worry about being attacked by airstrikes.
Abnormal players will suffer less damage due to teammates’ anti-aircraft behavior.
The most important point
Anti-aircraft guns can regain their combat value
CAS only targets idiots so there is no need to weaken it
Because only suicide infantrymen will become long-term victims
If their IQ is high enough to learn to use the terrain to protect them from artillery and bombing, their survivability can be increased by at least 50%.
