Paratroopers exploit the game

I think Paras are a great addition and they add an extra avenue of gameplay. It’s chaotically fun. I’ve encountered them a few times over the past few days. Just a short while ago I was in the Pacific defending the point when I noticed Paras dropping east of my position and I thought to myself “Oh S#!%t” but in a good way. I was so into the match and pumped with adrenaline at how intense the battle was.

Of coarse I had my personal idea of how Paras could’ve been implemented. I thought they could’ve been basically a Sky Rally Point. The Radio Operator would get a new call in, Para Plane, and it would have to fly ways until it was over the battle for players to spawn, giving the enemies a chance to shoot them down, like bombers.

What other titles? If you dont mind me asking.

I chose enlisted because after being a bf fan for 20 years, the franchise finally pissed me off with its direction.

Warthunder i have thoroughly enjoyed over 10 years, and that started out small, but kept growing. My hope is that enlisted will follow.

Not trying to change your mind, reading your posts, id say youve made up your mind.

And whoes to say you cant come back later and resume.

I’m talking about real life paratroopers. Not the video game.

What do notice in all of the pictures that I provided in the OP?

All of those paratroopers were being deployed over open terrain (mostly large fields of grass)

Why did they do this? Because paratroopers went through months of grueling training, and the military could not risk having them injured by landing in trees, buildings, or anything that would snare their parachutes and leave the soldier dangling by it’s cords.

But in Enlisted, we have a single c-47 that flying directly into the middle of a battle (in broad daylight), and dropping a squad of soldiers ANYWHERE they want to land, as if they have modern technology to deploy elite soldiers PRECISELY where they want them and their gear to land.

In this case… a rooftop.

Which is unthinkable if you’re considering we’re playing a WW2 game, and paratroopers were relatively new in warfare.

I’m not sure yet, but I might start playing Battlefield 4 again, just because I’m a really good pilot and enjoy the competitive matches with FULL lobbies.

I get quite a thrill when I’m dog-fighting other attack helicopters. Tight maneuevers between buildings, narrow valleys, and mountains is whole lot of fun.

Likewise. I’ve been disappointed with what happened to the franchise. I tried BF5 and stopped playing the game after two matches (that’s when I decided to try Enlisted, and initially enjoyed that it was much more realistic than battlefield).

And BF 2042, I’ve never played it. Before it’s release, there was so much hype… But rather than pre-ordering, like so many people did… I sat back and waited for the game to release. And then I followed the player reviews as they came out. All I can say on the matter, is that I’m happy I saved my money and didn’t suffer the disappointment that others did.

I keep trying to play this game, but every time I put some time into it, and play a few matches… it’s simply not very fun anymore. Either the matches are empty and full of A.I squads, or the teams are stacked one-way-or-the-other, or there’s somebody exploiting something that entirely ruins the flow of the battle.
It was phosphorous… And now it’s paratroopers who can spawn whereever the hell they want.

Just wait till it happens to youuuuuu.

Just wait till you’re having a really good match, and a paratrooper squad spawns ontop of the objective during a key moment in the battle, and ruins the entire match because you don’t even know they are there, safely in a place where you can’t get to them.

Once you make it inside your own objective, and see all the bodies on the ground… you take a bullet to the head.

Then you switch to your remaining soldier, and look up.
You see the guy staring at you, and take another bullet to your head.

By the time you respawn. Game over.

Just wait till it happens to you, and remember your own words

Congrats, you explained the situation. This is a video game, not everything will be the exact same as this is NOT A MILSIM AND IS NOT TREATED LIKE ONE

Exactly. We’re no longer focused on historical accuracy. And now I want my Little Bird with gattling guns.
Where do we draw the line, if we can’t add helicopters with hellfire rockets now?

Ah i see, while battlefield 4 was fun at the time, it too had stuff i loathed (like random dispersion, 3rd person vehicles). That killed gunplay for me.

But that game is long unsupported. It will never be anymore than it was left years ago. But hey, if you still enjoy it. Do it.

I haven’t touched it for a couple years, and have no idea what it’s playerbase is currently like.
Since it’s free on the Xbox store, I believe the lobbies are still relatively healthy.

The next Diablo 4 game looks interesting. Have you watched the game trailer? It’s fucking gnarly.

I may get lost in Hell for awhile

My mates love the diablo franchise so ive seen alot of it. It does look cool. I just had other interests and no time to split.

Same situation. When I start a new game, I usually stick with it for awhile.
Enlisted has been that game, but as of recent, it’s been a disappointment.
I had high hopes for a long time, and now I don’t see a positive future for this title.
Whenever they introduce the next progression system, I feel like that’s going to make-or-break the entire game.

Planetside 2 is pretty nifty if you’re into the whole sci-fi vibe. But it also has its own problems. No p2w though, that’s a guarantee. There’s also choppers :slightly_smiling_face:

I second planet side 2. Amazing game. I just want a new one

It wouldn’t be the same without that fat british bastard doing the shilling and the promotions. RIP TB.

I’ll check out some gameplay on youtube and see if it’s something I’d like.

TitanFall 2 was an amazing game, up until the devlopers abandoned it and let their matchmaker get all fucked up. Now there’s no playerbase and the game is only good for it’s single-player campaign.

The fast pace, and high competition was exhilarating. Matches always kept me on the edge of my seat.

If you enjoy being a pilot, may I suggest Warthunder (didnt catch on if you had played or not). There Is a massively high skill ceiling in that for pilots.

Never gets old reverse sixing an enemy player using real world maneuvers., or going in vs 3-5 enemy planes and winning

and they have choppers…

Thank you. This is exactly the point.

Imagine picking a fight on a tiny speck of an outpost with some random player from another faction. Now imagine how that skirmish flashed as a conflict on this massive continent, and people from both yours and his side start flooding in battle tanks, VTOL carriers, APCs. Imagine that turning into a massive slugfest that has several hundred real players on either side. And then imagine a third faction deciding to cut in and making it a threeway clusterfuck where ordinance and bodies are flying all over the place.

That’s generally a routine occurrence.

Perhaps, but you’ll get old until you grind enough to get, and spade jets and choppers. Also chopper battles were crap last time I checked, take a soviet one or take a hike basically.
