It’s fine, as I said, they have semi-automatic guns that made it about as far as the ZH 29 in terms of development. One of them was allegedly fielded, that being the Type Hei rifle.
The ZH shouldnt have mede it past gold order
Allegedly. Gold order material
That’s more than the MAS 36 has going for it, there are no reports of the Germans even using it.
Oh no instead yes
Google it
Oh, pictures, I see. I need to look for pictures more, I rely too much on inventory reports and the like. Still, the point stands, the Type Hei rifle and the other Japanese semi-autos would be fine in the standard campaign to match things like the Carbine, Garand and Johnson.
That’s not entirely true,
Some Model 21 and 52 aircraft were converted to “bakusen” (fighter-bombers) by mounting a bomb rack and 250 kg (550 lb) bomb in place of the centerline drop tank.
An actual third wheel…
Fair, but seeing the 250 kg bomb works the same on the A6M6 in WT despite not ever getting that modification, It’s fair to assume that all of the 250kg bombs will work like that for all Zeros.
It’s been awhile since I researched it, but going on memory the only ordinance, external, the zeros should be able to use in 42/early 43, the most likely window for a Guadalcanal campaign would be two 60 kg wing mounted bombs
And as far as I know they will all only be equipped with the type 99 mark I i’m not sure when the A6M3 started to use the type 99 mark II, I would have to crack a book to check that, but it may be something that we might see at the far end of the food chain
Yes, if it is Guadalcanal, the devs are limited to A6M2 and A6M3s with the 60kg bombs, which should be ok as the Wildcat only has 100lb bombs.
Every plane with bomb is a Kamikaze already, you just release bombs fractionally before impact. But yes I do hope they do include something like a plane sized impact grenade. But its not always effective apparently.
