This event is bloody awful, it’s far too hard for randoms and very frustrating, dumb shamblers interspaced with OP mini bosses that just wreck the whole team. Just 1 not very good player just torpedoes the lot of you, and those green grenede guys can get in the bin, and the wait times are horrific. The rewards are OK, and if you want to buy the pass (which I have not done as i’m not confident I can finish the event), the extra weapons and squad are nice. I appreciate you putting something on, sorry but you really dropped the ball this year. last year was so much better.
Zombies constantly glitch though walls, whole ammo thing sucks, teammates suck and constantly die for no reason or go AFK and winning silver chest for winning is insult.
Rewards are copy+paste and Patchett will never face TT.

Why does it take so long to find lobby when playing in group? I waited for 10 minutes and still no lobby found

Because it’s a frustrating to play mode and no-one wants to play it. This is why I haven’t paid for the pass, with wait times like these, it’s very possible I’m not going to complete this event. This is not what I want to put up with after a 12 hour shift.

Bunch of tips for anyone reading:

Go prone and spam melee (obvious) but when facing a bigger horde move backwards while attacking

BUY GRENADES they are cheap AF and immediately pay back after each use. Can be used while downed and there is no inventory limit

Always switch to weapons dropped by soldiers, twice even as that would make them lie on the ground permamently (You can have lots of free SMGs, Flamers and Laser RMNs to pick up later this way)

When you have 2 OP weapons, dont waste their ammo on a single zombie, use a pistol or a melee.

I’d also like to add that if you picked a spot you wanted to defend, stay there and don’t run around unnecessarily.

I tried Laser RMN and it did zero damage to infantry zombies. Probably bugged since they often glitch through walls.

I see, but if a weapon does not work sometimes , why using a valuable weapon slot for it? Especially since I think they also spawn flamers close to the wave of the laser zombies.
Well, no one stops you from leaving it on the ground, myself I found myself using only it and flamers in the last game, which was absolutely a great experience. Im glad pistols can be bought infinitely though
Maybe the game tries to implement the recent MM rule of group vs group? So it’s waiting for a stack of zombies to squad up?
I heard it was a server issue. It didn’t even solo queues didn’t work but now it seems to be fixed
When I shoot the ground near the zombies it seems to work a lot better and do damage. Hope that helps.
5 years of my favourite game on Monday) waiting like a friends birthday)
my tip: buy übermauser, it can one shot any enemy (in fact save it against boss).
As we get to the end of the event, I can’t help but feel this one missed the target a bit. I liked the stuff we got from the event. The Squad looks fun (yes it’s T4… but so is every good flamethrower in the game!) and I like the gun skins. Yes, they aren’t necessarily super realistic but they look interesting.
However, the game mode itself was way too repetitive. The exploits were funny to begin with, but now every team is full of exploiters it’s made the game a lot less fun and drag on for ages. If you try to hold a corridor that a good team could have held in the first few days… well good luck with that, half your team is hanging out on the roof and nobody is watching your back! The round will go on forever and half the zombies will just die of boredom trying to figure out where you are.
don’t you love how, they are getting literally more lazier?
you get a squad that:
-
wears only one type of uniform in different colorations
having literally no customization diversty, yet the premium squad with the flamethrower did. -
comes with 4 star soldiers that you cannot add the 5th star.

questionable perks that forces you to spend silver to even change them and have no retraining points
-
comes with unapgraded guns
( yet the assault engineers and other event squads came with fully upgraded weapons )
yet it costed them nothing to add yet another 900 gold BP slop.
hate to be pessimistic, but i don’t see how 2025 can be considered a good year beside very few needed improvements that took way long than was anticipated or promised.
