Maybe because not all console players voice their opinions out on here. It’s just a small fraction of us doing it.

Necause it must be reall hard to open a forum on a different device to say sth. I guess.

I don’t really agree with this, I like some of the ‘ideas’ behind the merge but honestly I dont like the entire execution of it. I think the new system has fumbled majority of the changes and has taken away from made the game unique and enjoyable. I personally can’t even make suggestions on how I think they could improve I believe the entire system is flawed fundamentally

Or maybe they also just played the game and enjoy it for the way it was pre merge. And also didn’t know about the forums. Also one other thing to factor in

I think one thing that is important to consider regardless of the topic of historical accuracy prior and post merge, one thing is for certain and that is this merge has been incredibly divisive. The number of people who are returning to the forums or new to the forums all together to express their criticism of the changes really surprised me.

Personally the topic of historical accuracy has always been a passionate one for me I’ve been well read on WW2 history for a very long time. However I’m also well aware of the balance between historical accuracy and satisfactory gameplay the two need an equilibrium. I often can let things slide assuming it doesn’t drastically effect the gameplay.

Ergo the point I’m trying to get at is while I may have criticisms regarding the changes of the merge and how that may effect the historical accuracies of the games setting my primary focus is firstly on how the changes have effected the gameplay in a way I do not enjoy. I think the topic of historical accuracy is simply a footnote to the overall critique that is being presented and we shouldn’t allow that to funnel on focus

Exactly, for most people, it was the maps and the fact that all of their squads were practically destroyed by the BR system. It’s a bigger chore to set up all your squads to attempt to find a certain map, just to play a game of RNG to get that map, only to find it is now unenjoyable due to the BRs that are now linked to said map, than it would be to simply allow the player to choose the map as was with the prior system.

Overall, the whole argument regarding HA, Immersion, or whatever term you want to coin it as, is linked to a lot of these other criticisms, however, are more than likely not the leading reason for everyone who has these criticisms.

Plus, CaptainSebekel is just a forum elitist who cares very little to what new players have to say when they disagree with him. You’re not actually going to hear anything of value from him since instead of engaging in productive dialogue with the person presenting ideas/suggestions, he’d rather overgeneralize and mock you for suggesting anything other than the merge being perfect.
