The more I read within this post, the more it’s sounding like a troll post. If it’s not, there’s really no reason for it anyway: There are several methods available in game to deal with enemy vehicles. If you don’t like any of the options, then don’t worry about it. My experience has been that whenever there’s an enemy vehicle on the map, it draws most people in like a magnet to destroy it. So let someone else worry about it if you don’t want to deal with it. But asking the developers to change the game with more restrictions—when in fact it needs fewer restrictions—is not viable. More restrictions just means fewer people want to play the game, which is probably a contributing factor as to why other players have already left.
Competency is still king. A “good” tanker is not worth 10 “good” infantry players…He might be worth 10 “poor/bad” infantry players, but than again so is a good “infantry” player
But poor tanker/pilots/infantry still do fuck all in the scheme of things. Some level of competency deficit is in play when someone is smoking everything
Overall I agree, the revenge cycle is absurd (It was better back in the early days or F2P when you could only bring 1 vehicle…tank or plane, not both. But now I prefer methods that dont restrict spawn choice (we have had freedom to choose too long to want to lose it)
- Airfields
- larger objectives/maps (Diminishes the effectiveness of HE area Denial by increasing the play area)
- Ai Tether removal or increase the distance
You call it a “revenge cycle.” Did you ever stop to think that it just might be pure competition? I know that’s a hard concept for some people to wrap their heads around—especially when they have a roomful of “participation trophies,” have no idea what competition is, and only play “for fun”—and couldn’t care less whether they win or lose. Sadly, there’s a whole generation of people just like this. And a lot of them play video games.
Not everything is a revenge cycle. Some of us just like to tank. Furthermore, I paid for some of my tanks and I expect to be able to use them. What’s the point of letting someone else decide what I can and can’t use? If they want that, then they can compensate me for my purchases.
Furthermore, I don’t fly—at all. So that opens up all of the plane slots for other players who do like to fly. And if someone wants to cycle planes or tanks, who cares? Stop trying to control other people and what they do.
This game is not an infantry only shooter. it’s a true combined arms warfare experience and that’s exactly why so many of us enjoy it.
Yes, tanks can be very powerful in certain situations, but they can also be extremely vulnerable in others. Just like aircraft, mortars, engineers, infantry and every other class, each asset in the game has its strengths and weaknesses depending on the map, the current objective, team coordination and even a bit of luck. While individual skill obviously plays a major role, the dynamics of both teams, the flow of the battle, and each player’s situational awareness are equally important.
I personally have a lot of respect for the overall balance that has been achieved in this game. If you look closely, you’ll notice that every unit type has its moments to shine and its moments of weakness, with clear rock, paper, scissors relationships between them.
In such a finely tuned combined arms environment, if I’m getting destroyed by tanks, my solution is to adapt my tactics, not to ask for tanks to be restricted. If your solution is to further limit the use of certain unit types, I think it’s worth re evaluating that approach.
And as for the pay-to-win claim, that’s honestly one of the last things that can be said about Enlisted. I personally own almost every premium squad, and I can confidently say that while most of them are unique, they are not stronger than the tech tree squads. That’s actually something I really respect about this game’s design.
Even the extra squad slots provide a bit more flexibility in squad selection, which is indeed an advantage but if you’re truly a competent player at this level, you can surely grab one during a sale and, in doing so, support both the dev team and the community as a whole.
And everytime both community and devs came to conclusion that such solutions are not the way to go.
Yet some vehicle haters are still trying to push this very unpopular demand from time to time.
I have no clue why I should be so drastically limited in playing my premium squads for which I have paid for quite a lot, just because they’re vehicle squad.
No thanks. Stop pushing this quite obviously anti player nonsense. You just want to restrict the playstyle you don’t like. That’s your personal problem.
EXACTLY !!!
AT mines work pretty well as a countermeasure, at least for me
On Pacific maps, the narrow roads, bridges, and shallow rivers make great spots to hide them
Shhhhhhhhh, don’t give away all the good hiding spots!
Since when do US mains actually learn to adapt lol
Not on every case such as mine. I had my rally built off the track and hidden, i kept my squad back using their xplosion packs to kill the forever spawning tanks, cycling thru each squad member until.all xplosion packs were used up, then i respawned and did it all.over again. Boring as yes, but point farming was great and stopped that daft player from mullering our team…win win situ xxx
