Ironically you managed to pick the one of the only two guns that actually exist for the Soviet side, Ppd-34 and PPK-42 all share the 25 round mag and high fire rate of the OVP.
Though they are actually slightly better, trading damage for lower recoil, faster reload and they dont even have top loaded magazines which completely ruin both OVP and Beretta1918.
Besides its not like I havent suggested 9mm guns for Soviets before, but if people keep pushing for lazy 7.62x25 guns that will have the usual 6.6 damage then its not my fault the actually interesting guns don’t get added for Soviets.
Oh yes, beg my pardon -
Tech tree OVP with 6.8 damage, 1040 rof is kind of the same as
event soldiers without health perk PPK-2 with 6.6 damage, 920 rof.
Who you wanna fool here, kid?
PPD-34 have even 6.4 damage and same 920 rof.
Your math is kind of a joy
Mag from above - kind of skill issue. Best players I know use a double premium beretta M1918 squads, and give a lot of damage by this beast.
Yeah right as if Pps42 wasnt the BR2 meta since merge.
There is always a veteran cycling Pps-42 assaulters squads in BR2.
(I used to that as well up until recently so Im part of the problem actually).
Im glad we finally agree.
Look Im actually interested in balancing factions and adding actually interesting content to all factions instead of 5th Pps-42 like gun for BR2 Soviets or 29th 500 rpm Axis gun for BR2.
Crying about small things the one faction has is a waste of both of our time.
Oh yeah? I aint use it since merge - only a pps-43 in my set up. Tell me more, like to hear some news about soviet setup.
well, as you might recognise, we talk here not only about smg but about an ability to cicle 3 premium assault squads. Soviets dont have this option, even a one smg prem squad. Thats a nonsence!
I actualy doesnt like a a fact that one faction have a far less content then the another. By no reason. Any good things could be add as well. But so far for soviets we only make less smgs at br 2
The Soviet faction currrently only supports, well, the Soviets.
Germany supports both Germany and Italy.
Italy deserves to have things of its own, it is already the most marginalized (sub)faction in the game. So, if you only count the things specificly meant for Germany, not Italy, the content gap is way smaller in reality.
Not only that, pre-merge Axis had a wider array of fronts to merge than the Soviets, leading to a overal content gap.
All these culminate in the inescapable truths that 1; A lot of Axis content is just dead weight, and 2; Overabundance of gear is entierly exlainable for multiple neutral reasons, it’s not about a case of Soviet opression or them being unfairly treated. If the Soviets were actually exactly on par in terms of number of gear then the devs would have to be playing actual favourites.
one of many issues we got from pre-merge era.
Germany and Italy were in 5 out of the 6 campaigns while Soviets were in 3 out of the 6 so its only natural Axis got more gear after that.
Though if we only looked at certain BRs than Axis could argue that Soviets have 7 BR4 SMGs while Axis only have 2. So you know, this world is not black and white.
well, it does seem that Japan and USSR are getting a little more focus then Allies and Axis but they are still far behind in content.
Not what I’m talking about, I’m specificly responding to the conversation about individual weapons, outside of squads, which you decided to go into yourself.
But yes, even so, it does explain it as well actually. Happy coincidence.
The merge + “two factions in one” also explains the squad gap.
to be fair USSR has its fair share of lend-leased and captured (Axis) equipment to plug necessary gaps.
Though I actually suggested adding some subfaction to USSR as well to expend the content for them.
I try not to. My X spoke decent English, but when she got mad she forgot the English and shouted at me in Russian. My oldest son, who was around 7 or 8 back then used to say, I don’t know what she is saying dad but it doesn’t sound good. Of course, my late wife was Philippine and when she got really mad she shouted at me in Tagalog, her Philippine language.
