War Thunder is doing a 50% discount for
all premium vehicles. With $25 (5000 GE) I’m pretty much getting the entire WW2 Romanian Air Force (1530 GE) the Hungarian Bf 110 (725 GE) with lots of GE to spare. I can’t even get the 2 Italian squads with $25 (2800 Enlisted Gold).

I have it, the gun is decent for br 2, but you can give them 2 weapons instead of a backpack if you really hate it. Their engineers can also build the stuff most other premium squads can: LMG nest as well as the AA and AT guns. They also come with an extra slot that can be an AT gunner or another engineer.

This works out as long as it is not a medic or engineer squad, otherwise your stuck with the weapon it comes with, and I have several squads that use backup weapons because I wanted the squad, but not the weapon. Example my Horn and Stg 45 squads, they all use Stg 44 backup weapons which are essentially their main weapons. Same with the old MP18 German assaulter squad, I use backup weapons for them because I never liked the MP18.

I got that squad a year or so ago, but can’t remember if I got it in an event or the mystery box. I don’t use it as I really don’t like the OG-43.

I’m getting used to OG. I’m starting to love it. It’s one click 5 bullets in the enemy. Do this 3 times, hide, reload that takes 2 seconds…
Other than that I have tried it as a successful engineer drop on the flank or behind enemy lines.
Havent had a chance to pick up anything else than flamethrower that kinda sucks, or the engineer. Not sure what weapon I can get for machine gunner and other classes. Anyhow…
It’s a para squad, so I don’t really care that the submachine might seem inferior to some.
Awesome squad on BR2 for sure.

Lucky! I’d be wildly envious but I managed to get the French Resistance squad I missed and…A sweet third G43k! It was a Merry Christmas indeed.

Same for me. I really don’t like this gun .
Waiting for a new event with german’s low br para (with a decent gun) as reward …or switchable gun like Russians
(Or , make all guns switchable for event/premium squads)
