Make people choose between grenade or mine slot.
Iām not against a mine rework, Iām against a straight nerf. If there is to be a mine laying animation, make the explosion bigger. Greater risk - greater reward. Currently, the mine kills one soldier.
And thats bad because?
Rn there is zero risk.
Itās not bad now. But if they nerf them, stepping on a mine wonāt even kill anyone. Which is ridiculous and unrealistic. You walk through the mine, your soldier has 10 percent hp left, you spend one of your four medkits, and you move on. There is currently no risk of mine laying. However, if there should be a 5-second animation of placing a mine, that is already a risk.
Letās stop turning soldiers into terminators. Itās already funny. An aerial bomb explodes two meters from you, your soldier survives because he is in a small pit. No shock wave or shrapnel. A soldier is currently able to survive two or three hits from an automatic weapon.
And? Wouldnt be the first time here.
Which makes you defenseless and many people do not even use backpack.
You also have risk for healing and having more hps for less ammo, grenades or seconf weapon.
Sounds more fair than mines.
Nah. Lets just spam mines in ridiculous places by just throwing them to the ground while your soldier carries a 50kg AT cannon and a rifle with full ammo.
Thats definitly not unrealistic.
More likely based on the poor game physics.
And thats bad?
I dont recall this game being actually labelled as realistic beyonf historical accuracy.
If this was 2020 Beta, Id agree with you. But the Devs want this to be Fortnite with WWII skins to please the Gen Z instant gratification arcade players. If a ārealistic modeā is implemented, similar to War Thunderās Simulation Mode, this should absolutely be implemented.
How are you going to spam mines when every soldier can carry one? There is a bit of a difference between carrying heavier equipment and surviving a mine explosion and fighting on. You can be treated anywhere, but you canāt lay mines. The fact that someone does not use more first aid kits is not my problem, it is a skill problem. So you want the mine to be just to reduce the lives of one soldier who will continue to fight after passing through it? I understand it correctly?
What you write can only be written by a person who has never played mines because you are completely out of it.
Oh no
I was killed by a landmine
He should be weakened
Because I donāt want to spend time excluding them or going another route
If weāre going to nerf the mines, letās nerf the grenades too. 3 grenades per soldier is non-historical. Letās nerf tanks and planes, they can kill a soldier. Or better yet, letās remove them from the game. Letās make it just a boring infantry shooter where you can only play one style of play because the others will not exist or will be useless.
I wish I could give at least 10 hearts.
jesus, i just requested a more realistic approach to the APMās and how they could work in a better way, if youāre here to complain about it, leave.
If there are to be realistic mines, then let everything be realistic. A realistic one hit from any weapon was enough to knock out a soldier. Realistically, a soldier will not survive the explosion of an aerial bomb two meters from him. If you want to apply realism only to a thing you donāt like, itās a double standard and hypocrisy.
imo thereās a solution for everything. such as having different types of mines. one mine which is placed in the ground, super deadly, another mine which acts as a tripwire mine, can be placed in doorways.
every nation has the opportunity for this, mind you. some have it in form of 1 APM, and others have it in form of 2 or more APMās
What would it change in the game? Most people who lay mines lay them in buildings. So most people will take the mine that they can put in the building. So they just take a mine with a different name. What will it be good for?
i didnt say i want to nerf AT mines, theyāre fine as they are. i said anti personnel mines, since they pose 2 flaws; they can be placed anywhere, and they take 1 second to deploy.
well, they could simply copypaste the damage model of the artillery/bombs that drop from airplane, since you can survive those if you go prone
ive never said anything about weakening the mines, just give them less options to place on AKA the realistic options for them, its something that every game out there had figured out to do, to prevent spam.
and its not a issue if you get killed by a mine, its a issue when thereās 43264932846 mines spammed all over the place, and obviously a smart player would go thru windows, but the AI isnt smart enough for that, so they go thru the normal doorway, and theyāre wiped out one by one.
This is a pure skill issue. If you enter a building and you are a soldier and there is a war, you always look on the ground or on the walls for a trap. You actually want to make a realistic thing unrealistic, and you argue that now it is unrealistic, although it is the exact opposite. If you step on the mine in the door and donāt look at the ground, itās your problem. You made a mistake and you were punished for it.
You are a completely typical player who is too lazy to play the game properly and wants to nerf everything instead of learning how to play it.
