hello,
By now I have 300 hours of pure gameplay in enlisted, and the number of interaction that i had with other players at this day is very low. For exemple I’ve only added like 3 or 4 people from the game and i often use the chat who in my opinion is absoluetly not used as much as it schould, like almost nobody use it.
I know you’ve talk about it negatively in your F.A.Q. but I find that the global chat schould be added as well as the voice chat, even if it can be abused there is the possibility to remoove it in-game and report the toxic player.
Other mechanics such as reviving teammates is not very used(I never been revived by someone).
So what I mean is that it is written in all your social medias that enlisted is a MMO co-operative game but for me the co-operative part does exist.
goodbye
I agree that a large part of the cooperative gameplay element seems either missing or very underdeveloped.
For me, it seems like a large amount of content in the game that requires teamwork such as marking enemies for teammates with aircraft or mortars is severely under rewarded, it only gives assists for tank kills for example.
Additional examples are:
-
MG, HMG, AA, and AT field guns are not marked for teammates. So they often don’t know that they are even there.
-
ammo is the only thing that is marked for teammates on the map. However, the person that put the ammo box down gets the same amount of points whenever someone grabs ammo, regardless of how much or what type was replenished. Meaning that someone topping off a couple mags and draining its resources very little gives the same amount of points as someone that runs up and drains the whole box for a single tank of flamethrower ammo or mortar ammo.
There is very little incentive for players to put down ammo boxes except for their own usage. -
Reviving other players gives very little reward, and since most players just swap to another character instead of trying to get that one up, its rarely worried about. yet a player that goes out of their way to help with keeping a push alive is very poorly rewarded, leading most players to not even bother.
I could go on, but I think you get my point.
Meanwhile though, they are putting more and more focus on things that increase each individual players autonomy.
- Things like radio operators that made mortars nearly useless.
- Explosive packs that made AT troops nearly worthless, and AT mine setup basically pointless.
- The ability for tanks to shoot Czech Hedgehogs with HE to make it to where they don’t even have to leave their tank or have someone help them remove it.
- The ability for ALL soldier types to just break down fortifications, even though it required an engineer to build it. Just so that solo players don’t have to worry about bringing a special unit or relying on teammates to help.
Teamwork has been phased out of so many games, and it ultimately makes them boring to play. Meanwhile games with GOOD teamwork persist for VERY LONG periods of time.
(Battlefield 4 is a good example. One soldier type by itself couldn’t take on every situation by itself. It required teamwork to actually work at full capacity. That game came out 10 years ago and still has a fairly decent playerbase.)
Nice feature is addition of clans/clans battle/tournaments ingame with chat before match. Like 1 2 minutes of looby chat before match.
What is the point in chat if there is almost no teamplay to chat about?
Maybe bots have chatbot included?
technically - you’re rewarded by winning the match and getting that sweet sweet XP bonus.
Be the change you want to see
I dont think a global chat would go well for a number of reasons tbh, but I think it would be nice to have a postgame chat for both teams. That way you arent stuck and can just leave if need be.
Chickydoodles I have been asking for just that for a while now but unfortunately it has fallen on deaf ears It would be nice to have a chat about the game that we just had, surely that wouldn’t be a problem?
