agree. Seeing what they did with mortars and premium squads, I see a super nerf to jumbo.
I told some people here in forum that jumbo can be destroyed in 2 hits if you flank and hit him from the side, but people don’t want to flank and said the front armor is still to hard to penetrate.
Dont worry panther will one hit it no problem when its in game

The Panther will wipe the floor with that 75mm armed Jumbo. Everyone better grind it now and the P-47 as that 47 will be needed to take out a well positioned Panther.

10 rounds, and you can have two mortarmen in a leveled-up squad. That’s basically 20 nades you can deliver from afar. How is this useless?

That’s why I’m happy with their solution.
They didn’t create annoying counter play or an arms race. They just said… “No reloads” and actually solved an issue with more than 1 Mortar men being kind of a waste. Now it’s useful to get those 10 more rounds.
An entire squad built up around 20 rounds with no other reason to really use it or level it? Yeah I’ll pass. I pass on it now actually
Jumbo doesn’t need a nerf because it’s easily destroyed
It should be removed full stop because it wasn’t even in the Normandy invasion

Yeah just remove the mortar. Maybe we can actually get people to move into the point without the radio and mortar squad. I’m far more useful on the point with Thompsons than sitting behind some barn

Did I miss a patch note? Mortars can’t resupply now?
IMO, mortar is counterplay to pilots and artillery spam squads. If i constantly die by plane bombs and artillery spam doesn’t allow me to enjoy the game i usually take mortar squad and give them their own medicine. Btw, I like that they removed a lot of screen shaking when mortars hit but afterall i think they shouldn’t nerf them more.

Give who their own medicine, the simple troopers taking the point and not camping? Are you mortaring planes out of the sky? The normal “I hate cancer so we need more cancer” response

It means they have to treat a light mortar like a light mortar now instead of a personal artillery battery.
You’re supposed to use it as a precision weapon against high-value targets, not just dump it at random all game.
