If only they had just given the FNAB/Ber to the premium squad and made it italian, and gave the MP28(E.M.) to the normal squads. Guess they weren’t P2W enough.
I´m sorry but while I agree with the idea, I have to give you a bit more skeptical point of view along with it.
I would be up for it, however, widening the options of what can be added to each campaign would also create pretty rough issues with historical accuracy.
For example: Normandy
US Forced never fought a single Tiger I in France, all of them were missidentified Panzer IVs… Yet, if we add Britain into very same battles, it would be justified to add said tank as well (as Tiger I tanks were actually sent against Commonwealth forces in limited numbers), but still extremely unhistorical because main force in campaign consists of US.
So I would agree with adding other nation divisions IF doing so is not going to create literally fictional sort of engagements that would break immersion and just make people cringing. This should be approached carefully, because it shouldn´t to give people hoping for pure arcade a munition to achieve it.
They’re fine as they are and since this is a closed beta I think “muh diversity” can be at the bottom of the list for now. who knows, maybe they’ll add an all black infantry unit squad for the US.
Fine as is? The devs are already modeling and getting VA’s for the British since the Tunisia campaign will be Britain vs Germany. That can certainly be extended to the Normandy campaign since Free French, British, Americans, Canadians, and others took part in the battle.
I and most people aren’t interested in racial diversity in Enlisted. We just want unique squads from other countries that can be unlocked with their own standard issue weapons. It doesn’t matter to me if some Frenchies are black or not. It would just make sense to unlock a MAS-36 or a MAS-38 submachine gun with a French squad.
I’m assuming those will come with their own campaigns. Think it would look really weird seeing brits/french/canadians in the same firefight considering how rare that was/is.
Rare doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. Plus the off chance that a bunch of people using an international squad at once isn’t something to worry about in Enlisted.
wouldn’t be surprised if some of these premium packs get yoinked from the store before going open beta. Relegated to “rarity” like the KV-220 was for WT for so long.
I think that will be great. Would love to see campaigns for different countries. An early “Case: white” campaign with Polish troops would be really cool.
