More clear direction on where to attack and defend, rally points etc

As the OP stated. I to have issue with rally points or hell knowing where the enemy is even coming from. Now after many matches it is better. But the game puts enemy player and tanks in a area you can not go into, and they can sit outside and pop off on you. Air strike wait, can not even target them. Why because that part of the map is OB to me and does not show on the map.
Weapons Yeah I get the weapon thing. I also get why they do not allow the US forces in Normandy to use anti air guns. ( sort of not like this can not be added as a unlock like the AT weapon.)
I had to watch a video to learn that the eng could place things other then a sandbags.

I have also never seen an engineer built an AT gun or AA gun for that matter. I’ve only ever seen me and some members in my clan build one. A lot of stuff like this goes undiscovered unless you watch videos or see someone else doing it.

I didn’t even know you can press middle mouse button while aiming at an enemy grenade to throw it back, or that throwing an explosive pack under a tank will kill it in 1 blow regardless of where it lands.

The most painful thing is when there is never any ammo crates near an objective and you’re not an engineer, which is why I try to have at least 1 engineer in each of my squads, because most matches I’m in I’m the only one building anything, if I’m lucky I’ll have 1-2 other players building rally points, but they never build ammo crates, sandbags, AT guns etc.

Automatically puts you in the top 5% of German mains.

The tutorial could be better sure, but rally points on objectives would be OP.

Fuck no. Shitters should learn how to play, not be coddled because they are terrible

Been playing the Moscow campaign for a bit now. All the smooth brains are there too - including or perhaps especially on the Soviet side. Winning a game is like at 20-30% at the moment. It’s so bad in recent weeks I suspect my entire team might just be bots for at least 50% of the games I play (and this is Squads, I’ve only played LS a handful of times). Especially with the Berlin update entering OBT a significant portion of the active player base that is still left (which isn’t great) has moved over there leaving the sweat lords in the other campaigns and those still punishing themselves with the merciless grind to bite the dust. This game is steadily becoming a PVE game with bots and players that are just as useless as bots. A proper tutorial and training mode which actually runs the players through each game mode and how to actually capture and defend is desperately needed. An ingame announcer that berates the player/team for losing or not doing what they should would be nice too, you barely notice the announcer as is.

Allies on Moscow don’t seem any better

Please don’t make rally points on capture points, the swarm of spwaning players would make it impossible to cap, unless you hide 39m away from it to prevent spawns. 40m are fine.
I think better solution would be having at least 3 default spawn points, and have them in better positions. Removing spawn protection was great, but it should stay on default ones for 5s, one tank drives in and war crimes happen.
Also good would be to have bots build rally points. They can only do that in engineer squad, (maybe assault if you take 2 engineers, but who does that). Most people don’t bother because it’s time consuming, so like adding command to the “wheel” - ‘build rally point’ would be great

The disparity is so large that the game design forces players to get at least one premium squad to even value add to their team for the first few games.

Bullshit. I haven’t bought any premium squads in about a month of playing, and I do just fine. They aren’t necessary at all.

You can call BS all day long and at the end of the day when you log into the game the number of premium squads running around speaks for itself. ’
Just because you chose not to invest doesn’t mean its BS.
Equally, just because you’re doing fine does not address the issue of an overabundance of automatic weapons.

It doesn’t matter how many premium squads there are in a battle, any gun can kill in this game, even the shitty starter guns, which aren’t all that shitty.

I think you’re failing to grasp the core issue of the discussion.

Firstly its not about you or how well you can do things. Its a broader observation based on games played.

I don’t think you will find anyone to argue with you on the absurd notion that you can’t get effective kills with any weapon picked up in game, if you are a sensible player with a modicum of skill. There is a point in every game through when you get into CQB where the disparity of weapon performance is blatantly apparent, and when you watch entire squads get erased by the SMGs or LMGs in seconds you may begin to understand the issue of disparity.

Only scrubs would invest in premium squads, they’re bad squads for the late-game when regular upgrade squads are far better, they also cost a ridiculous amount. I’m happy that people are funding the game but the premium squads are idiot bait.

The maybe 1 or 2 that you’ll see per side in a battle if you pay really close attention?

Should also mention that in most cases, premium weapons are on par with or worse than campaign weapons.

Well that’s very true and once you get high enough level to have your own SMGs/LMGs and higher rank troops the premium squad is generally worse off because its small size and lack of versatility. But this aside the fact that you can have premium squads on top of any other SMG/LMG armed squad - and - as was mentioned earlier no MM to differentiate between levels of progression in the Campaign makes for a very chaotic and potentially intentionally unbalanced gaming environment.

That is one of my biggest PMO issues. Hardly anyone uses an engineer to lay a spawn and ammo point nearby. I usually run out of ammo defending and end up trying to grab a fallen weapon only to be blasted . No ammo, you cant defend, no extra spawn point and its a long run back to defend by the time you get there its over! Take the time to place ammo crates nearby especially when
defending. As a defender the longer you hold each point the greater the chances of a win!
